The Ford Fusion heads into 2015 with only minor changes. Most notably, a rearview camera is now standard equipment. Midway through the model year, Ford discontinued the available manual transmission for the Fusion SE.

Pros:
  • Fuel-efficient turbocharged engines
  • Advanced technology and safety features
  • Sharp handling
  • Composed ride
  • Available all-wheel drive.
  • Quiet cabin
  • Eye-catching style
Cons:
  • Electronic interfaces are less intuitive to use than some rival systems.

  • I dont like Ford .. - 2015 Ford Fusion

I purchased the fusion for fuel economy and a good price. 3 weeks ago I was hit from behind and pushed into the vehicle in front of me. I walked away with no injuries, no neck or back pain. Today I am back at the Ford dealer looking for a replacement vehicle

I should have taken the dealers offer to take it this car home overnight. I test drove it on a good highway and the ride was quiet and comfortable. I found out after buying it that on the country roads I travel to my home the ride is harsh and lots of road noise. I like the automatic climate control, rear camera and the transmission is very smooth. The seats arent very comfortable for a long drive. The sticker claims 22 city 26 combined and 33 highway, so far the best I got was 21.9 and that is driving with a very light foot . I hate to think what will happen if I drive it a little aggressive. The last several vehicles I owned I always got at least the combined mileage rating. How could the EPA estimates be so far off?

  • Fusion Flaws - 2015 Ford Fusion

Purchased 2015 Ford Fusion in December 2016. It was a lease with 38k miles. Shortly after, the car would not start after putting gas in tank, putters like it wants to cut off at red traffic lights, occasional rocking motion at traffic stops, makes a moaning sound in the gas tank area and jerks when excellerating. I took it to Tom Holzer Ford and a faulty purge valve was diagnosed. The warranty does not cover it and the dealership quoted $430. I found a licensed mechanic that will charge me $150, including parts & labor. Nevertheless, I am disappointed having to come out-of-pocket at all.

  • When God gives you lemons, make lemonade - 2015 Ford Fusion

I am one of the unlucky people that got a lemon. Thankfully, its a lease and they will get it back soon enough. The car is haunted with some kind of electrical problem. On three occasions, weve come out in the morning to go to work, and the car is totally dead. Towed to the dealer by Ford Roadside Assistance (a joke at best, but thats another story), and the battery was supposedly defective. Replaced the battery, and that lasted a month. Next two times, ....they cant find anything wrong. I suspect some sort of parasitic drain, but what do I know. We are just going to try to get to the end of the lease, and get rid of it. Hopefully, my wife will not get stranded, or worse, injured. We were Toyota people for years with no issues. We wanted to "buy American", so we switched to Ford. Guess thats a fail. (Warning...DO NOT let a tow truck operator use a hammer and a wood wedge to jimmy open the driver door enough to get to the inside handle. Theres a little access latch right behind the exterior door handle......yes...this really happened!!) BTW, I could not select the proper model from the drop down menu as it wasnt listed. Its a SE, 1.6 liter ecoboost
