  • Nuclear Fusion - 2016 Ford Fusion

This car does it all. It even parks itself. After having a Camry and a Beamer I never thought a Fusion would be better. It is! The 2.0 has a much better response than the Camry and it rides just as good as the Beamer. It stickered at just over 36K but after some discounts I gave 32K including fees and taxes. The fit and finish is superb and no orange peel. After purchasing I used it on a 9 hour road trip and after a long day driving I still felt relaxed. The Camry always made my back ache after 2 hours. I have put 11K on the odometer and cant find anything to complain about. Ford has shown me that they can build a car that deserves top ratings.

I really love the comfort of the fusion . I have the 2.0 turbo and couldnt ask for better handling and acceleration so far. I am getting 26 miles to the gallon and I have a bit of a lead foot. I love the huge trunk and the fact there is no lip so easier to load heavy stuff. Easy to connect your phone. I dont have navigation. My only complaint so far is the auto climate control does not seem to auto adjust like it should. Audio is easy to use. It took me awhile because I am not that tech savvy to learn how to use all the controls. also love the keyless entry.

I own a 2012 Fusion SEL with 162,000 miles which was a CPO, as is this car. It has been excellent and virtually trouble-free and it was time for a newer vehicle. I drive 40,000 miles a year for my sales job and comfort and reliability is paramount to me, along with an American brand when visiting jobsites that are riddled with Ram, Ford, and Chevy/GMC pickups. The last Fusion was Mexican built (as most are) and my new acquisition was built in Flint Rock MI. My 2016 is an SE with FWD and the 1.5 4-cylinder Ecoboost (no option was available in Edmunds to pick that model). The car has the Luxury and Tech packages, plus a sunroof, so its practically a Titanium save for the 2.0 Ecoboost motor and no Sony radio - but this unit is upgraded to ten speakers and sounds very good. This kept the price thousands lower due to the SE tag. I was nervous about the concept of Ecoboost when it first came about, but now about 5 years later feel comfortable. The car will not win any drag races, but its certainly adequately powered. No turbo lag that I can discern. I intend to run K & N air and oil filters and full synthetic Valvoline oil to help with power and turbo longevity. The aftermarket Fram air filter is $23, the K & N $50 and can be washed to reuse, so I figured, why not? The Fusion has a personality, unlike the Accord and Camry, with a sporty feel, and the touchscreen interface (now upgraded in 2017 models onward) is not tough to master despite some rough reviews on the various car websites. I do miss the large knobs of the 2012 Fusion radio, but at least this unit still has them. Also, the touch buttons of the climate control and seat heaters were changed to real buttons in 2016, with redundancy in the touchscreen as well. I am a big fan of the turn signals within the side-view mirrors, and the auto-dimming drivers side view (and rear view) are godsends to me at night. But I miss my change drawer----yes, some of us still pay cash for tolls and parking meters! The sunroof shade is still flimsy, but at least there is no "bleed" of light through the leading edge anymore. LED interior lighting is a big upgrade. The basic leather seats are excellent so far. New headrests are a giant improvement. I think the electric steering is a bit overboosted and provides less road "feel" than before. Center console, door pockets and glovebox are all substantially increased in capacity. Trunk is deeper but a bit narrower due to the old-school hinges for the lid. The headlights are outstanding and a huge improvement, even without using the fog lights. First tank of gas MPG was just under 30 with mostly highway driving at 75-80 MPH. I had it as high as 31 when I was keeping to 55-60 on country roads.

  • Best Value on market - 2016 Ford Fusion

I can honestly say that this car is a tremendous value purchase. Traded in my 2007 AWD fushion, which was a great car that gave me very few problems, and purchased the 2016 AWD Titanium. Between the trade in and rebates I think I got a great deal for this car. What a car! Beautiful exterior and interior and lots of bells and whistles. Driving and handling are superb and it is an incredibly quiet cabin. Im pleasantly surprised by how much power the 2.0 Turbo engine has too. It has much more pep and is better refined than my old V6 sel model. Gas mileage for an AWD vehicle is very good with about 28mph so far. The sony sound system is top notch too! This car is a lot of fun to drive. I make up excuses to go on errands so I can drive around. A friend of mine recently bought a BMW 5 series for 55K and was stunned by the quality of this car. When I told him how much I paid for it he wanted to bring his back. I may sound like I work for Ford but I do not. I work in finance and I look for value when I make a purchase and IMO there is not much better pure value out there. If you are looking for a mid-size sedan you must test drive the fusion, preferably an SE or Titanium model. You will not be disappointed.

at lest check it out. I was not sure about buying a car with a 4 cyl. engine. I was blown away. More horsepower than my 2009 mustang 4.0. So far love everthing about it.

  • My third Ford Fusion, and I love it! - 2016 Ford Fusion
    By -

This is my third Fusion. I had a 2014 Fusion SE. I traded it for a 2016 2.0 turbo with the appearance package. I love this car! The engine is way better, its more powerful and quiet, it feels like driving a V6. The 18" black alloy wheels, rear spoiler and fog lights do make the car look nicer. I honestly recommend to get the car with the 1.5T or the 2.0T engine, because its a better ride than the 2.5. Make sure you get all the features you want on the car so you have no regrets. The cash back incentives were unbelievable on this car.

  • Great Fusion & Price - 2016 Ford Fusion
    By -

2016 Fusion SE with tech package and 2.5 Engine. Read a lot of reviews on Fusion before buying. Looked at other cars, Hyundai, kia, Cheverolet and Nissian. Most reviewers said the 2.5 engine was under powered. Most so called pro reviwers have a lead foot. So I asked people who had one and everyone said, they have not had no problem with the 2.5 power. I also compared the 2.5 to my Escape SE with the 1.6 turbo and could only tell very little difference in power. So overall the Fusion SE with 2.5 is a great deal. Still do your research, and remember owners will always be your best source for an accurate reviews. People who do the reviews based upon a rental car, does not know the history of the car and how it has been treated. In summary, We love our Fusion SE and would buy another, if ever needed and would highly reccommened the Fusion with the 2.5 to everyone.
