This Year's Model Updates:

Changes are minimal on the 2007 Ford Focus. All CD players are now MP3-compatible, and models with the optional CD changer automatically get audio controls on the steering wheel. Optional on SE and SES trim levels is a new interior upgrade package with two-tone leather seats and satin metallic interior trim. You can also get the leather seats as a stand-alone extra. Additionally, the ST sedan and all SE and SES sedans and hatchbacks are eligible for the Street Appearance Package, which provides special exterior trim and a polished exhaust outlet. Powertrain warranty coverage is extended to 5 years/100,000 miles as of July 2006.

Pros:
  • Plush ride quality, responsive steering, comfortable seats front and rear, simple controls, four body styles to choose from.
Cons:
  • Sloppy fit and finish, low-grade plastic trim in cabin, inadequate storage and cupholders, no rear head restraints or side curtain airbags, 2.3-liter engine limited to ST sedan.

  • I cant wait to dump this *&$^%& car! - 2007 Ford Focus

Bought this car brand new in 2007. I currently have 88k miles on it, had problems from the start. Had to get front axle replaced covered under warranty. Replaced tires twice because the suspension wears the tires fast and I have blown two out hitting pot holes. One thing I found is this car does not like the cold. The fan on the heater squeaks, dashboard rattles, steering wheel shakes. Car makes every groan and squeak possible. Had to replace the lug nuts because tires were about to fall off. Antenna fell off, drives door doesnt lock/unlock with remote. Replaced alternator and battery at 80k miles. Screw on the shifter fell off and I could literally pull it off...dont buy this car ...

  • The worst car in automotive history - 2007 Ford Focus

This cars electrical system is a nightmare. The alternator blew out 4 times in first year(6000mi). Now the battery warning light comes on randomly. Repair shops cant figure out whether its the alternator, voltage regulator, or battery. Iv installed new batteries 4 times. The parts for this car come from different sources all over the world. The whole design of the electrical system is moronic. I will never buy another Ford or any American car. From now on its Toyoto or Honda. One last note, the $2000 extended warranty that dealer [non-permissible content removed] try to sell you are totally worthless.

This car has been nothing but problems since new. It eats tires fast no cam camber adjustment on the rear wheels. The A/C quit working at 50k. The alternator has been replaced twice. The transmission had to be replaced. Need to remove bumper cover to replace headlamps. The cable for the hvac blend door had to be replaced. The A/C compressor had to be replaced. The center arm rest is caving in. The trunk wont close properly. Rear main seal leak. This car is horrible for winter driving even with blizzack snow tires. This will be my first and last ford.
