By AshleyAsh - May 14 - 10:00 amFuel pump has gone out more times than I can count. Electrical everything goes out more times than Heinz has ketchup...good luck to anyone who buys one of these damn things! Get a good warranty.

I hate my car - 2000 Ford Focus
By Leigh Ann - November 22 - 10:00 amThe Ford Focus gets nothing but rave reviews through website articles. However, anyone that owns a 2000 Ford Focus will tell you otherwise. My car has been serviced for 47 different things. Thats it 47. For example, my radio has been replaced twice in the past two years. Now it is malfunctioning again and Ford told me that they would no longer pay for service on the vehicle because I have 36,250 miles on it and the warranty is up at 36,000. Well if they would have fixed it in the first place I wouldnt have this problem.

Nothing but trouble - 2000 Ford Focus
By drtygrrl - November 16 - 10:00 amI bought the 2000 Focus brand new, only 6 miles on it. Since then I have put 46000 on it. The brakes have been replaced, the last time it was in the shop I was told it needed $1200 in repairs, including a new axle. It is currently in the shop again for a fuel pump, which they are charging about $700 for! I have completely wasted my money on this pile of bolts, this is the last Ford Ill ever buy!

Unfulfilling - 2000 Ford Focus
By snabdangler - September 5 - 10:00 amBought brand new, now at 118K, at the time there wasnt many options for a small wagon. Reliability has been AWFUL. O2 sensor is always malfunctioning ..check engine light can only be off for a week or so, learned to live with. Many expensive parts; ABS sensor, calipers, wiring, wheel bearings, front suspension. Now tranny starting to act weird, also many recalls have been tiresome (lost track, at least 10 of them). Perhaps Ford has worked out the problems, they now offer longer warantee, (we had 3 yr, 36k mile), but I dont appreciate paying to be a tester. Interior is cheap, stereo is cheap. Cup holders, WHO CARES? (they are bad though). Seats are like boards.

By Big Rob - May 4 - 10:00 amThis focus is bad. Love the styling and cornerig capabilities. But DO NOT BUY THIS CAR WITH OUT A WARRANTY!!!! My heater core has broke twice, and I also had a new transmission put at 36,000. I am at 42,000 now and its starting to go out again. Geez I hope Ford gets these mistakes fixed. Thank goodness I bought the extended warranty

Bad Ford - you should know better - 2000 Ford Focus
By badcar - March 30 - 2:00 amThere have been several recalls on this car including the rear wheel bearings. I wish I could get rid of this thing but the value has been dropping much faster than I can pay the car off. They have had to replace the complete breaking system after only about 25,000 miles and the wheel bearing went bad coming home on Christmas day with the kids in the car. Im about ready to tell Ford Credit they can have their car back.
