This focus is bad. Love the styling and cornerig capabilities. But DO NOT BUY THIS CAR WITH OUT A WARRANTY!!!! My heater core has broke twice, and I also had a new transmission put at 36,000. I am at 42,000 now and its starting to go out again. Geez I hope Ford gets these mistakes fixed. Thank goodness I bought the extended warranty

There have been several recalls on this car including the rear wheel bearings. I wish I could get rid of this thing but the value has been dropping much faster than I can pay the car off. They have had to replace the complete breaking system after only about 25,000 miles and the wheel bearing went bad coming home on Christmas day with the kids in the car. Im about ready to tell Ford Credit they can have their car back.

Great car! Corners like its on rails; handling is superb with peppy throttle & good response. Not a muscle car but very fun to drive! Highly recommended.

Great car with # of annoying problems and a history of engineering problems. 11 recalls, but only ONE had any impact. Problems -Paint chips -Trunk release -Rubber Trim pieces loose -Leaves got into air intake causing a burning leaves smell -Clutch return spring causing shifing problems -Plastic air dam panel came loose -Drivers door power actuator broken -Door panel broken -Inaccurate fuel gauge readings -Brakes started to make strange wear noises at around 24k, due to the type of material Ford used. Brakes could not always depress the pedal 100% but this had no affect the stopping action -Drivers headrest would not stay in place but would constantly "ride up"

Almost 25k miles. 3 times for repairs. Engine light comes on if I dont click the gas cap "10 times" according to the dealer. Very thin windshield. Cracked 3 feet across while passing a truck hauling sand on the freeway. Auto transmission started to squeek and slip. Had to be replaced. Truely a disposable car.

Damn, I hate to love this car. It has screwed me many times. Im sure everyone is aware of the recalls. This car stranded me 1500 miles from home with a rear wheel that almost fell off (15K miles). Two days to fix and ford wouldnt pay for hotel. I cant imagine what would have happened it the wheel had fallen off at 75 MPH. Key became stuck in the ignition (25K miles). The driver said it was the 3rd focus he had towed that DAY! My drivers seat has broken and now pokes my rear unless I use a towel. Ford said this was not covered under warranty. Why do I still like this car? It was cheap and fun to drive. It looks much nicer than a $14K car.
