  This is an excellent small car with good power (5 speed trans.),excellent manuver- ability,ample interior roominess,and very good styling. As a means of local and intermediate travel, it is an excellent choice. I have used it to travel from San Francisco to Oregon in comfort and safety (good breaks and air bags front and side).

  I am very happy with my purchase, Ive only had this one for a couple of days but I did rent one for a week in Atlanta last year and loved it. It has plenty of room for the kids and dogs at a very affordable price, very comfortable. So far everything seems to be just fine in it, Im sure time will tell but I did purchase a hefty warranty as always......

  I just traded my focus in and Im glad about it. If you dont have to buy a focus get something else. Its cute and all but it feels exactly like your driving a little go-cart. I think it was made for high school kids who were purchasing their first car. This is not a car for adults!

  ford focus is a good reliable car. Only suggestions is that make leather interior and option & better pick up. I like to look of the car.

  The Focus is a piece of JUNK! Car has been into dealership 19 times 15 of then have been recalls or warranty purposes. Have had 9 recalls already! Car has 59,140km on it. Rear axle assembly has been done, both front stablizer links replaced, brake calipers froze, car shook at high speeds. Springs were not properly in control arms, caused clunk. Clutch spring done twice. Car stalls occasionally, still not fixed. Car RPMs fluctuate when stopped causing car to shake at stops. Two wheel covers replaced, wiper arms had to be tightened. Rear wheel bearings and seals replaced. The list goes on and on. Stay away from the focus it is nothing but hassles.

  Its a great car overall, handles well and gets great gas mileage. mine has a little over 80,000 miles on it and still runs like new

  I have around 117,000 on my 2000 LX. I have been getting lately about 31 around town and 38 on the highway for tanks averaging around 35. It doesnt use any oil and the front end is still solid as granite. I havent had any problems with the car except for replacing the fuel pump and the alternator. The AM radio gets a bit of noise from the ignition system, which Ford never could fix. I will eventually put a filter in the link to see if that works. Otherwise, the Focus seems to have been a good investment. Based on the experience I have had so far, I expect the Focus to last well over 200,000 miles.

  The Ford Focus gets nothing but rave reviews through website articles. However, anyone that owns a 2000 Ford Focus will tell you otherwise. My car has been serviced for 47 different things. Thats it 47. For example, my radio has been replaced twice in the past two years. Now it is malfunctioning again and Ford told me that they would no longer pay for service on the vehicle because I have 36,250 miles on it and the warranty is up at 36,000. Well if they would have fixed it in the first place I wouldnt have this problem.

  I paid dirt for this car new over 2 years ago. I have had absolutely no problems with the car in 44,000 relatively hard miles beyond the recalls, which you kind of have to expect from a first year car. Easily one of the best investments I have ever made.

  Love this car! Its been a reliable hauler (love the folding split seats) and has plenty of giddy-up for a small car. Outside of the recalls, Ive had no major problems with it. I get about 34 highway/27 city mileage wise. I cant complain with that. Havent had a need to transport many passengers, thankfully, the rear seat is a pain to get into.
