Overview & Reviews
Ford's second-largest SUV changes little for 2001. XLT models get privacy glass as standard equipment, while the upscale Eddie Bauer trim level now comes with HomeLink and a class IV trailer towing package (4x4 models only). Eddie Bauers also get second-row leather captain's chairs and a rear-seat entertainment system as optional equipment. A new "No Boundaries" option package includes a monochromatic black exterior, side body cladding, 17-inch wheels, illuminated running boards and special front seats.
- Excellent interior design and comfort, wide-ranging versatility, impressive hauling capabilities.
- Still might be too big for some garages, lack of power, on-road comfort hurts off-road capabilities.

Enjoying my Expedition - 2001 Ford Expedition
By kvfd518 - January 31 - 2:00 amI recently purchased an 2001 XLT 4WD after conparing the Tahoe, and Navigator. By far this vehicle just is easier to drive. It has the power as well as the space. Will pull 3 motorcycles with no problem. Great space for a growing family like mine. Overall a very nice vehicle. Previous purchase was a BMW, still have it but I truly enjoy driving this truck!!! After removing the 3rd row seat, and folding downt the back, I put a couch in it!! Still had a little room!!!

2001 ford xlt expedition - 2001 Ford Expedition
By dlenhart - December 13 - 2:00 amWe bought this vehicle in Oklahoma when we both had good paying jobs. We moved to Montana where good paying jobs are a joke. We are stretching money to continue to make payment on this vehicle as we really like it, but we dont know how long we will be able to afford it. Sure hate to trade or sell it. It has driven through ice, snow, fields, and mud since moving to this beautiful state, if you know what I mean. It is not 4WD, but handle itself like with feed bags in the back.

Nice SUV - 2001 Ford Expedition
By Greg G - October 27 - 1:00 amFor the price I think this truck was a deal considering all the interior space that you get. I could not find any other trucks in this price range that had this much room. I looked at the Tahoes but they were thousands more and they appeared to have less room.

eddie bauer expedition - 2001 Ford Expedition
By keith ingram - August 23 - 2:00 amThe Ford Expedition is an awesome travelling vessel. It is spacious, distinctive and comes from the factory looking great with chrome wheels, leather, above average factory sound system. The third seat snaps up a lot easier than the newer models (I found in the newer models the third seat goes down easy, but is difficult to get back up). The color selections available make it hard to choose "the right color" because all colors look great. We Love our Expedition.

My 4th Ford - 2001 Ford Expedition
By Built Texas Tough - June 20 - 2:00 amThis is a very functional SUV, with lots of creature comforts. Built sturdy, handles well on the open road, and lots of neat and innovative features. Only gripe is (WAS) the garbage General tires they put on as standard equipement lasted 10K miles before first blowout. Do yourself a favor and put Michelins on and it drives like a dream.

Built Ford Tough! - 2001 Ford Expedition
By gdub - June 18 - 2:00 amOverall Ford has come out with a great SUV. Make sure you opt on the 5.4 liter as the 4.6 is underpowered.
