Long may you run - 1995 Ford Aspire
By aspirerich@yahoo.com - December 26 - 6:49 pmI bought my 95 Aspire in 1997 with 11,000 original miles on it. It wasnt fancy but it had a lot more room than I expected. The greatest thing about it was it allways ran. It got me thru blizzards, hail storms and city traffic. My son just texted me a picture of the aspire before he took it to the UPULLIT lot. I felt like I was losing a friend. Long may you run-long may you run!

Great Little Gas Saver - 1995 Ford Aspire
By Phil Pankau - September 20 - 10:48 pmBought mine for $800 with 72k miles on it, immediately got new tires and a tune up. Other than spending $100 on a reman fuel pump is been excellent however its not fast by any means and going up any hill is a challenge along with no power steering or AC but I average 40mpg and is great in the snow. Love the little guy.

My Prim is growing up! - 1997 Ford Aspire
By kkandprim - July 10 - 5:42 pmI received my 97 Aspire about six months ago as a gift from my fantastic grandparents, and immediately named her Primrose. Prim had 38,000 miles when I got her, and the previous owner kept detailed records of all maintanence. Shes been a fantastic little car with amazing gas milage and small, inexpensive repairs. I certainly plan to keep her for as long as shell hold up to my busy lifestyle!

The Most Dependable Car Ever - 1997 Ford Aspire
By fic - January 30 - 12:38 pmI purchased this car in 2001 and its been going strong ever since. Im only giving it up now due to a check engine light that wont go off (so it wont pass smog). Its been bashed up on all four sides, had the axles replaced, a new clutch at some point, and driven almost 200,000 miles. (And the speedometer recently fell off and now makes a horrible noise!) AND, Ive been very negligent about maintenance. I will genuinely, truly miss my car, "Casper."

Better then a Scooter - 1995 Ford Aspire
By Scooter - August 19 - 5:41 pmI was in the market to buy a Scooter to go shopping and run around. My limit was $1,000. I found this little car at a Charity Auction with 40K original miles. I actually outbid someone else with $800. Needed tune-up and headlight bulbs. I decided to drive to work now every day 40 miles round trip, get over 42 MPG on a regular bases. Takes 6 gallon to fill it up once a week. Better then my 350z or my F150. Zip in and around big cars, park anywhere I decide. No fancy toys to break. I took out the back seat, now I have a large cargo space. Better yet, I can drive this all year round. Ill drive this toy till I cant find parts for it. Why buy a Prius?

This Is An Unbelievable Car!! - 1997 Ford Aspire
By Jeff Tranchina - March 25 - 9:19 pmPut 70,000 miles on her in 5 years. Now sits at 145,000. This car is just unbelievable! 38-42 mpg CONSTANTLY. We live on the Big Island of Hawaii, where climate conditions, especially rain and humidity are severe. The car never misses a beat. Normal maintenance like alternator, tires, battery, etc. The 5-speed is crisp and quick. No electrical problems, ever, due to the simplicity. Ours was made by KIA. We cant kill this car, nor do we want to. Going to keep her until she dies! A/C never lets us down. Engine perfect, and burns NO oil (I change oil every 3,000 miles). Geckos live in the car (cant keep them out), as do other creatures, but the car is friendly to all. Highly recommended!

Great, reliable car - 1995 Ford Aspire
By Dave - February 24 - 8:18 pmIt may not look like much, but it keeps going and going! I never have to worry in the morning if it is going to turn over. Very dependable and reliable. No frills, but gets the job done.

I go far in my ford aspire! - 1997 Ford Aspire
By Levantera - September 25 - 1:47 pmI lived in ks, ar, and now ia. I make frquent trips back and forth to those places. It costs me $35 to get to Ar from Ia.This car has amazing gas milage. I have put over ten thousand miles on mine in the last 4 months and it only has 85k on it as of now. My dad got it for him self and then upgraded to a 2007 crown vic. So he gave it to me he payed $900 cach for the aspire. Bad things about this car: My trim around the wind shield is coming off. The to trim that seals the car comes off. And its sorta fast but not really. i think its acceleration is descent for a ford aspire (mainly cause its a stick) So yeah its a great starter car good for long trips on gas not comfort.

Part of the family - 1995 Ford Aspire
By bowdog72 - August 20 - 6:18 amI bought a 5-speed manual Aspire third hand with 140000km on the clock. Only major problem was a faulty fuel pump that was replaced at 170k - a cheap diy fix. Since purchase the after-market mods have been tinted windows, alloy rims and stiffer suspension - because I love this car. Without doubt, this is the best car I have ever owned. Mechanically it has been perfect with regular oil and coolant changes, and one set of disks and brakes in 50,000km. Amazing, considering it regularly works in the 3-4k rpm range when squeezing through the traffic. My version has a boot opener! No chance of selling this one - the family would never allow it. Thats Ok with me - they can bury me in it!
