Cheap car , cheap car, cheap car. - 1997 Ford Aspire
By faceplanter - March 11 - 2:00 amIf you just want to get from point A to B with no frills, this is it. Loud on the free way, really loud in the rain. Headlight/park lights quit working at 90k miles due to corroded wires. Main seal went at 100k on passenger side causing passenger side brake rotor to warp. Back of car covered in soot. Engine is a 1.3 litre 4 cylinder thats weak. If mine had A/C, doubt the engine could turn it. The plus? Easy on the gas and can go forever on tires.

Great, reliable car - 1995 Ford Aspire
By heidi16 - March 1 - 2:00 amWe have never had major problems with this car except a transmission replacement at 120,000 miles. Other than that, only routine maintenance. Very roomy on the inside. Overall, we have been impressed with the performance. It has a small engine, but we knew that when we bought it. It has been the only vehicle we have owned for 8.5 years.

Very reliable, Great little car - 1996 Ford Aspire
By Erikvi - February 22 - 2:00 amIncredeable interior space. When you take out the back seats (remove 4 bolts) you can use it as a mini-mini van. Gas mileage is a little disappointing. Fun to drive. Very comfortable seats. Lots of leg room (I am 6ft-2". I can stretch my legs. Hardly any trouble after 155,000 miles!!

Alright Car - 1996 Ford Aspire
By Bade - February 11 - 2:00 amI dont think it is the greatest car, but I do prefer it over some others. The size is what gets me...it is a little to small sometimes, other huge cars like Dodge Ram pickups tower over me, but then it is normal size against other cars. Not as fast as I hoped, but since I have bought it I have never had to do any special work on it other than the usual oil change, and filter change.

No Frills, Excellent Runner - 1995 Ford Aspire

The only time it has been worked on is for regular maintainence. I have purchased 2 other vehicles since Peppy, but the Asipe is a keeper. The car has served me well. Well built little car.

By JamesB - December 18 - 2:00 amExtremely reliable car. Only problems have been in rainstorms the cylinders tend to misfire. Easy fix by changing spak plugs and wires about every other year.

106,000 and goin strong! - 1997 Ford Aspire
By Skippys Driver - November 11 - 2:00 amThis car has been extremely reliable for my 250 mile weekly commute. Yes, its the most gutless car Ive ever owned but having the manual transmision helps. Fun to drive (for its class), holds the road suprising well driving through water on the highway. Have been rear ended twice with marginal damage. I get 31-38 mpg. Wish there were more comparable models available as Im getting up in mileage.

I really hate to let my aspire go...would reccommend it to anyone...just the parts are the only prob

I love my Aspire - 1995 Ford Aspire
By J.C.M. - August 6 - 2:00 amI love my Aspire. It was the first and only new car that I ever bought. It has never not started and gotten me to work. I drive 60 miles a day just for work so gas mileage is important. I have had to do only basic maintenance (brakes, tires). My car has 134000 miles on it now and I havent had a payment in 5 years. I love this car. My only complaint is that for a small car it has relatively expensive tires. Also, if you tune up your Aspire, I recommend that you seal your distributor cap with electrical tape.
