I Am Finished With North American Cars - 2010 Dodge Journey
By tammyflores - January 28 - 10:46 amFirst sign of trouble with my engine was a carbon build up issue at 40K. I took pride in my vehicle and followed the maintenance schedule. They tried to tell me that I had to use higher octane gas when the specs didnt call for that. I did it for a while, but just after my warranty ran out, my EGR Valve went and then my transmission at 120K. Both bearing went in my front wheel. One while under warranty, the other just after. Im at 170K and because of carbon build up again, my rad reservoir blew and they just replace my cylinder head because their heads are made from aluminum and guess what now?

What a SCARE - 2010 Dodge Journey
By mhcpc - June 17 - 7:41 pmI have 5800 miles on my Journey. The other day, I was on the interstate, in the left lane with no traffic in front of me. All of a sudden, my engine light and traction control light comes on and the car starts loosing power and shaking violently. The car slowed to 30mph within seconds. I managed to get it to the side of the interstate and had it towed to the dealership. They claim I hit the gas and brake at the same time causing the traction control to lock and the engine light to come on. A mechanic tells me this is not true! Also, my foot wont hit both at the same time. I tried it after they told me. They did say they found a problem with the brake rotors and replaced them.

Has stalled in oncoming traffic 3 times, brakes are junk. 33,000 miles and chrysler does not car care about the safety of my family or standing by there product. Transmission acts like it is on its way out. I tried to buy an american vehicle, I Knew better than to buy a dodge. $30,000 mistake

By nothappening - February 26 - 9:09 amBought dodge 2010 (new) was good in start, but have had prob in the last month. Engine light has come on twice from no where and wanted to die on me. shakes crazy going down road, have had it at dealer 3 times. now when lights are on , the dashboard goes dim and resets itself. brakes squeek, and the bumper sliding out they have temp fixed. when i accelorate, it kicks in a lower gear and doesnt want to go, and if i stop completely at stop sign, it sputters and act likes it want to die. Been in contact w/ chrysler and so far they are ok, but now i will try and see if they can purchase my car back and offer diff, express my concern to dealer/chrysler. HELP!!

No Snow Tires available for SXT - 2010 Dodge Journey
By Now snow tires - November 17 - 2:00 amSnow Tires are not available for SXT by any tire manufacturer. The car is a good design and handles the road well. I have driven 45,000 miles on the car, had to change out tires, brakes, rotors and radio along with routine maintenance. The seats are very uncomfortable, the foam is compressed after just 18 months of use.

By unhappy in becida - September 9 - 2:00 amWe have had our Dodge Journey 2010 and we started jerking back and forward when you get to about 55/60 mph this started a month we got it . Now its been three weeks that they have had it and still dont know what is wrong with it. Wish we had kept our van.

Rather have my Jeep back! - 2010 Dodge Journey
By Rather have my Jeep - September 3 - 9:09 amI have had to have the car repainted due to faulty paint at factory. At 30,000 miles we had to replace front and back rotors and pads. There is a shimmy in the chassis from a newly diagnosed "bad Kumho tire" that only costs $267.00 per tire to repair. Beware! Cannot buy any other tire for the 19" rims other than kumho. This was not disclosed at purchase.

Journey - 2010 Dodge Journey
By Journey - August 31 - 2:49 pmI have the nicest or shall I say the most expensive Journey. My Dodge Journey has been a nightmare. At 10,000 miles I needed new rotors at 11,000 new brake pads and now at 21,000 new rotors again. My computer box is going out, when I start the car nothing works. IO have to turn it off, wait and restart it. The trans mission hums when sitting at a stop light. I cant even back out of my driveway because if I over extend the wheel a tad it makes a very loud grinding noise. I have had some other parts on the turning wheel parts replaced. My car has been in the shop more than I have had it. Then it comes back with the same problems. The visibility is so bad I have a hard time backing up.

Lost power while driving! - 2010 Dodge Journey
By bubofbuffs - August 17 - 7:06 pmI admit it, we were in love with our Journey. It is comfortable and fun to drive. We have room for the kids and all of their friends. This love affair was crushed today as we were driving down the road and suddenly lost all power (wipers, steering, brakes, lights)we couldnt restart the vehicle while in motion. Luckily we were able to coast off the the side, and could restart after a couple of minutes. We directly drove to the dealer and they seemed to think that I was over- reacting. We are awaiting a repair report. I see that this isnt the first report of this problem on Edmunds (See: Another Lemon by unhappy in NY). There clearly is something wrong. AAAAARRRGH!

Another lemon - 2010 Dodge Journey
By unhappy in ny - June 22 - 11:18 amHad this car six months now. Second time that all electrical power was lost while driving. Very dangerous. Also nothing locks gear handle in place so it is easy to bump it out of drive.
