Overview & Reviews
The 2010 Dodge Journey receives driver and front-passenger active head restraints, a larger 9-inch screen for the rear-seat entertainment system and standard keyless entry.
- Minivan-style interior functionality, perfect crash-test scores, interesting entertainment and communications options, attractive pricing.
- Lackluster base four-cylinder engine, subpar interior materials, ergonomic miscues, numb and vague steering, soggy handling, poor reputation for reliability.

This car stinks - 2010 Dodge Journey
By catwise4@yahoo.com - June 6 - 7:03 amI purchased this car after Thanksgiving and in less than a year of ownership I spent over $1200 on the same issue and still not fixed. Dealership doesnt seen to know what is wrong with it, horn honks at random, from time to time it goes dead and wont start, sometimes windows wont roll down or heater for this trip wont work, air pressure alert goes off for no reason.....This SUV has been the worst ....... unreliable, and right down irritating! Dodge is of no help

Saved our lives in a rollover - 2010 Dodge Journey
By Javaphile - January 7 - 12:08 pmWe bought a gently used journey and traveled cross country for Thanksgiving, honestly I didnt love it and hated the weird headrests, although the various compartments were great. Someone clipped us going 90 on the highway and we rolled 5 times, ending up on the roof 165 feet into a field. The side curtain airbags and those behind the front seat headrests saved our lives, we bought another one immediately. We had small children in the back, and we all walked away. Cheap interior, yes, but that car saved our lives so we can celebrate Christmas this year.

Dont buy one - 2010 Dodge Journey
By Dont buy a Dodge Journey - September 23 - 10:18 amI purchased a 2010 in 2015 one owner prior, 52,000 MILES, FIRST MONTH - had to replace the front tie rods drivers side. ONE YEAR OF OWNERSHIP 62,000 MILES, leaking transmission cooling lines & transaxle coupling etc going out so after one year of ownership its cost me $4,300.00. Worst car Ive ever owned in 31 years of driving. Its a nice looking car and the sound system in great but, thats about it. Acceleration is sluggish at best, average MPG in town 17 MPG 20 HWY, interior is low end but that why its priced low, Seating is not comfortable for longer travel. Hidden Storage is pretty much non existent, Back storage is o.k., good if you fold all rear seats down. Visibility is terrible with the very wide corner post on each side of the front and rear windows.

Don’t buy a Dodge Journey - 2010 Dodge Journey
By Scothalas@gmail.com - August 22 - 5:45 amI have nothing but problems with this car, and would never wish for anyone to buy it. Fobes, Consumer Reports and JD, power all gave a poor rating.

Sewing machine sounding engine / The worst Vehcle - 2010 Dodge Journey
By Tony - June 1 - 9:14 pmMy engine sounds like a sewing machine. now that I am dealing with this and looking into it. I am finding out that theres been several engine issues with the 3.5 v6 engine. Many different causes and situations that all make the engine have a sewing machine sound. I have been buying the extended warranties because I didnt trust this vehicle from the beginning for some reason. I was right, there has been about $7,000 of repairs done to this vehicle and I am sure we are not done. Cant get rid of the sewing machine sound. Basically I have to live with it and drive it the way it sounds until it dies. DO NOT BUY A 2010 DODGE JOURNEY. PLEASE TRUST ME ON THIS. I have had over 50 different vehicles in my lifetime. This one is the worst of all of them.
