This Year's Model Updates:

The full-size Chevrolet Tahoe has been completely redesigned for 2007. Interior materials quality is dramatically improved, and the Tahoe now has cleaner exterior styling, more accurate steering and a bit more power.

Pros:
  • Attractive interior with solid materials, smooth ride quality, smooth V8, comfortable seating, accommodates up to nine passengers.
Cons:
  • No fold-flat third-row seat, acceleration can be sluggish when fully loaded, hefty curb weight dulls handling.

  • Great to drive and fun to own! - 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe

This is my 3rd Tahoe and first LTZ and by far the best yet. Just hit 36k miles with only very minor issues during warranty period. Keeping fingers crossed that this will continue as more miles racked up. Overall, highly recommend this vehicle.

Ive had my Tahoe since 10/06 - purchased brand new after trading in a GMC Denali. Missed my Denali however, the Tahoe quickly made me fall in love w/it! A few problems that the dealer quickly resolved at "no cost" from GMC. I had the trani and steering column assembly replaced. I am still experiencing intermittent starting troubles, but no stall outs. First trip to the dealer found nothing. My next thought is to write GM - cannot find anyone else with the trouble. Gas mileage is great and I regularly get 20-25 mpg on freeway-only trips. Not too shabby for something this big and powerful. Love running E85 too! Love the styling, and the interior fit and finish.

I have driven the vehicle 88K miles mostly on the hwy. smooth and comfortable. Gas mileage could certainly be better but with the non existence of problems and getting 104K miles on the original brakes I wouldnt complain at all. I came from driving 20 suburbans and the longer wheel base was the only thing missing other than carrying capacity which I didnt need any longer. GREAT CAR

  • Very Impressed !!!! - 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe

I must accept that at the beginning I was a little concern about the reliability of this truck due his history but I have to say after almost 3 years to own it that this is the best truck Ive ever had.No complaints at all. Just visits to dealership for regular maintenance and for a 5.8 V8 engine 17 miles/gal. is not bad !!

  • So far So good... - 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe

We have owned or 2007 for a week now. So far I totally love it. GMs attempt for the foreign dash and knobs, or lack of knobs, has been done very nicely. The performance is good. I am very interested on how the DOD helps on our long lake trips. Ive seen 20- 24 mpg in V4 mode running around 55. Exterior is quickly growing on me. I am a big fan of Nissans Armada so that helps.

  • 155 miles and already in the shop twice - 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe
    By -

Im sorry I listened to my wife and bought this over the Sequoia (what I wanted). Driving on highway after 38 miles and car died suddenly and for no reason. Towed in and replaced a wiring harness which was improperly installed. Now at 155 miles the gas gauge starts wildly going back and forth. Took it back in. Does look decent on inside (Ill give them that) and is stylish outside. But two trips to the shop in first 155 miles is indicative of faulty build quality. I will not own this vehicle any longer than I have to and will think long and hard before buying another GM product. If I had to spend the money over again, Id get a Sequoia.

  • Refined, Comfortable, Powerful, Thirsty - 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe
    By -

This is my second large SUV, having traded a first-gen Ford Expedition for my Tahoe LT 4x4. Where the Tahoe trumps the Expedition is overall refinement, offering a smoother, more supple ride, better sound isolation, and incrementally better handling. The 1950s Chris-Craft bass exhaust burble is entertaining but never obtrusive, and hints at the burly, but refined nature of whats under the hood. The instrument panel and switchgear appears to be a lift from a late-model Audi, which is just fine by me. Negatives: Too heavy for its size, and a 26-gallon tank is just too small, particularly if you plan to tow with this vehicle. The Expedition had a 30- gallon tank, which was just right.

  • Best vehicle to come out of US car maker - 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe

Kudos to GM! I cannot be happier with this vehicle. Ive avoided US auto makers over last 10 years, and only took a look at the Tahoe after we had our third child. The Tahoe is quiet. The fit and finish is unbelievable, and it rides like a luxury car. We took a 12 hour road trip and it was extremely comfortable.

  • Great for family and friends! - 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe

This is our first new vehicle and we are very impressed. Its nine seats are perfect for hauling everyone around.

  • Nice vehicle...lacks quality - 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe
    By -

Bought our Z71 Tahoe as soon as they went on sale. Still very pleased with the looks of the vehicle, but it seems like Chevrolet skimped on the interior quality, lots of hard plastics everywhere and cheap leather. However it has held up pretty well other than a jerking rear end upon take off and squeaky door panels. Current mileage is 61K, lets hope it continues to hold up. Had the Traverse been on sale when I purchased, I probably would have gotten that instead.
