  • Dont buy this car. - 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe

I bought this vehicle new from the lot. The window moldings kept popping off, a defect which was confirmed by the dealer. The front seat is too small for me, I am 510". It is made for "soccer moms". The pedals are too close to the seat, and the steering wheel is not telescopic. Adjustable pedals wont push them back. The plastic on the sideview mirrors was separating, and the battery died, twice. I did not leave any lights on.

Bad interior design. No internal storage, no place for window scraper, fist aide kit or emergency road kit. Hi/Lo beam actuation unsafe push turn signal away from you to actuate, now out of reach from steering wheel. Takes too long to heat up. Gas fill is bad design, back pressure shuts off pump. Gas cap design bad, could come off in accident. Excessive road and wind noise. Not enough driver space. Seat belt difficult to buckle/unbuckle. Beverage holder in bottom of door?Transmission seems to slip. Auto door lock/unlock disable, annoying. Too many icons, use english language, 4 icons representing lighting, could not find airconditiong, confusing. Radio controls too complicated.

Still new but I love this truck. Looks great, runs great, performs great. Only complaint I have so far is the height of the hitch receiver.

First let me say from the time I was 25 until now which Im now 53 years of age ive always driven Suburbans or Tahoes. I brought this car in 2008 . I have never had so many little details add up to big details from a vehicle but this one takes the cake. The interior by 6 months was ruined. Peeling door handles that cut you , seat belts that just broke, lights that flicker on and off, air conditioner that just quit blowing then will start back up again, the dash is cracked in 3 places but I have always used sun reflectors to keep heat away from dash, and a cd player that works then doesnt work. The outside the cargo came off in mid drive and had to be remounted, the day running light has had to be replaced a nto less than 12 times since I owed meanwhile the other lights have been just fine. I drive around town only to find other Tahoes with the same light out, I even asked another owner how many times they replaced theirs and they said it went out like almost every month so they quit replacing after 15 times. I believe there has to be a major issue going on with that. First month I owned it I took it back and spent 2500 on an emission problem. Not sure if that was even the issue. That was also supposed to covered on warranty and low and behold it wasnt. Im a single mother of 3 and needed a reliable car and it has preformed for me but not in the way Im used to these vehicles performing. I have had to take it to the shop so much I just decided to get my own mechanic because taking it to the dealership has been extremely expensive each time. Im one to get all the fluid levels drained and restored every year and my vehicle gets changed on time. I know that vehicles are expensive to maintain but never have I had to spend so much on one vehicle in order for the car to preform. I love Tahoes and Suburbans and I dont know if it is just this year or what because the last one I had was a work horse and lasted me well over 259,000.00 miles. I really cant trade it in because the dealership is now saying this car isnt worth anything so Im just stuck with it. If I decide to go out and get another vehicle I will lease it and I think I will be choosing a different SUV. Makes me sad because I have always loved my other SUV from Chevy but I think this is becoming a norm with their cars

  • Great Truck - 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe

This truck is wonderful and fun to drive. The new styling is superb. The interior has come a long way for the Tahoe. We purchased the LT with the LT3 package. This has all the goodies like power liftgate, wood grain, 3rd row, 20 " wheels, rear entertainment, etc. We found that it was a better deal to go with the LT3 loaded than going for the LTZ. Anyway it rides very well. We previously had a Grand Cherokee Jeep that was loaded and there is no comparison. This truck is the best. Gas mileage is not the best but it is better than we expected. The engine cuts out some cylinders which does work but doesnt effect performance.

  • Awsome, Awsome! - 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe

I never thought a vehicle could be so comfortable. I live on a dirt road and I cant even feel any of the bumps. I feel like Im gliding . I feel assured that myself and my children are safe in my Tahoe. Chevrolet has out did any other company in my opinion.

  • Awsome Ride - 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe

I purchased the 2WD LTZ approx 2 weeks ago. This is the first Tahoe I have ever owned. I frequently trade cars and have had several SUVs. In the past 6yrs I have had a Yukon, Yukon XL, and a Denali. This vehicle is light years ahead of any I have ever owned. It makes the inside of a Denali look like it came out of the 70s. The interior is roomy, seats are very comfortable. Handling is great for such a large vehicle, and the ride is very smooth. The fuel management feature of shutting down half the engine is an excellent idea. Cant even feel when it happens. I wish I could drive it more, but I cant seem to get my wife out of it. Wont be trading this one anytime soon, its a keeper.

  • Cant see what all the hype is about! - 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe

Mileage rating and drop back to 4 cylinder performance is a joke. My own SUV, which is the LTZ and is fully loaded, had a faulty climate control system and one speaker which didnt work from the start. The windshield has a scratch in the middle of it. The rear hatch had continuous squeaks in it which the dealer corrected. The dash still has a constant squeak in it which I dont know whether or not will ever be found. The polished aluminum wheels and their quality are a joke for the price that GM charges, considering a set of four high end chrome American Racing Rims would cost much less. The spare tire is a different brand than the four driving tires which is another waste of money.

Exceptional vehicle. My hat is off to GM for building this truck. What a great vehicle, and it gets a lot of looks. The wife loves to drive it too. She cant get enough of this truck.
