Overview & Reviews
Chevrolet offers revised 16- and 17-inch aluminum wheels, and 17-inch all-season tires are now optional on LT models. Other new features include a tire-pressure monitor and Hydroboost brakes that provide more reserve stopping power and decreased pedal effort, according to Chevrolet. A traction assist feature is available on two-wheel-drive Tahoes equipped with a locking rear differential. The trailering package includes a 7-to-4 pin brake wiring adapter. Finally, for added safety, there is now a front-passenger seatbelt reminder.
- Strong engines, roomy and versatile interior, numerous available amenities.

Nice Tahoe! - 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe
By mylimit - April 16 - 10:00 amWe bought this Tahoe as a family ride that would tow my boat and keep the family comfortable when not towing. Our Tahoe seems to do it all! Quality good!

love a tahoe - 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe
By boobakai - March 8 - 2:00 amI have only had my Tahoe for a few months. I love it. I would suggest it to anyone. I had no special reason to purchase it. I liked the way it looked and I loved the way it drove. It has plenty of room, if needed.

Segment Leader - 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe
By BoatReady - March 8 - 2:00 amVery satisfied w/the LS. Upgrades include: Bose system, leather, Sun Safe and something, towing pkg, 17" wheels, LS Prfd, 5.3 engine, and 3rd row seating (saleman stressed it b/c of resale value). The LS makes the commute almost enjoyable. The ride is non-SUV-like as the bumps seem to dissappear. Looked at other vehicles at this price point (cars and SUVs) and concluded the Cheverolet offered more vehicle for the $$$.

04 TAHOE LT - 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe
By JohnandRebecca - March 4 - 10:00 amI am not a big fan of SUVs. I was in market for a mini-van. However after allowing myself the opportunity to test drive this vehicle I was sold. It had more room for my children, more versatility for those weekend baseball games and soccer games, and when it came down to a road trip the comfort factor could not have been matched. With the included features such as on- star, it gives you plenty added ease of mind. Also good to mentions are the XM radio and the Bose sound system. If you are going to pick up a Tahoe, opt for the LT. Avoid the 4WD option, unless needed. It will just run up maintainence costs. the 2WD can tow quite a load on its own merits.

Great for an SUV - 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe
By rogpa - February 11 - 5:14 pmIt is what we expected. Tows a trailer like a dream. Heated leather seats are fantastic. OnStar is more necessary than we expected.

Great SUV - 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe
By Leroy - January 17 - 3:03 pmOnly had one problem so far and it was in the first 500 miles. Had a bad squeak in the left front due to a dry (no grease) tie rod. Dealer replaced tie rod have had no more problems. Current mileage 13200

Better than expected - 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe
By billy wheeler - December 17 - 12:50 pmI admit that this Tahoe was not my first choice. I wanted an Armada, but the wife did not want to wait while I saved. We compared it to the Expedition, and it was not an option for us, plus the 3 benches sold the wife on it. We got the 5.3l engine and I am very happy with it. I have installed a K&N FIPK on it and a Flowmster 40 series. While the 40 series is a bit resonant for my taste, the overall improvement (there was an obvious one) was WELL worth the resonation. I have towed a couple of compact vehicles on trailers with the Tahoe and there was little impact to the gas mileage. I wish that the drivers seat design had been designed better, but it isnt TOO uncomfortable for long rides.
