My Lumina - 1993 Chevrolet Lumina
By susiebell - August 30 - 2:00 amI wish Chevy still made Luminas because I would buy another if possible! This has been a great vehicle and we intend to keep it until it just wont go no more but that could be when it has 400,000 miles on it! I would advise anyone if they can get a 1993/1994 Lumina, with low miles, to buy it and keep it. We have the original engine in it but did have our trans rebuilt this year. Ours has over 285,000 miles on it and we bought it 1 year old with 21,000 miles on it. The only repairs we have done to it is normal repairs such as water pumps, fuel pump, batteries, brakes & mufflers. Good cold weather start ups too. Change your oil!!

PREPARE FOR REPAIRS - 1993 Chevrolet Lumina
By ALPHAX25 - August 12 - 2:00 amThis veh drives smooth, when it wants to. From my experience if its not one thing its another. So far Ive probably invested over 2.5k in repairs here and there. If youre buying this vehicle used make sure that the previous owners were kind to it. Any small lack of maintenance will really affect its performance. Ive had problems with the power windows, radiator core, cooling system, a bunch of electrical problems. Its kinda gotten to a point where I expect it to leave me stranded any day now. It was an expensive "in the meantime" car.

1993 2 Dr Euro - Bought New - 1993 Chevrolet Lumina
By hollisam - August 12 - 2:00 amStill have it after 10yrs so I must like it. Have aways liked looks and handling. Brakes are terrible. Gotta use parking brake always else cylinders seize (another $400 bucks twice over). Metal pipes in cooling system all rot and leak. $400 for the one at the intake manifold (broke off during repair). Spliced a hose onto the lower one coming out of the radiator. Really dumb engineering. Needed a new computer at 65K. Also trunk leaks and cant find source. Its red and still looks like new. Very comfortable to ride in. Prefer over my Honda Accord to drive.I must like it...I still have it! 17 and 25-30 mpg, not bad for 3.1 v6.

My ZZZZZZZZZZ - 1993 Chevrolet Lumina
By srgsmm - January 8 - 2:00 amI remember the first time I saw a Z34 back in 96when I was looking for a used car. I thought it was the hottest car ever. I couldnt wait to get one. I found one that had only 20,000 miles on it and was in good shape for a three year old car. I took it for a ride and that was it mine forever.

Its ok...... - 1993 Chevrolet Lumina
By davis - April 16 - 2:00 amI bought the car in 07/02 with 104,000 miles. Its a very roomy car. I get about 23 mpg. The air conditioner and heat are awful, not much blowing power. The brakes could be better, hard to stop the car quick. But what more can I expect for a used car.

Not Bad - 1993 Chevrolet Lumina
By Pancho - February 15 - 2:00 amMy family purchased the car used in 1994. Since then, the Lumina has been a pretty good car. It now has around 75000 miles. The 3.1 engine is still strong. The speedometer only goes to 85, but it can probably do 105-110. We have recently had to replace: struts, a computer chip, part of the torque converter, etc. The drivers seatbelt recently broke, but I was amazed to hear that it would be under warranty. I really like the car because of its dependability.

Z-34 Believer - 1993 Chevrolet Lumina
By Racin - February 6 - 2:00 amI bought my 1991 Z-34 a couple months before I got my license, and was already the envy of all my friends with their Mustangs, Eclipses and BMWs. It was inexpensive (4000 bucks), had 210 hp stock, a great ride, smooth shifting tranny, but the brakes were pretty crappy. After 1000 dollars in performance brake parts, a several thousand dollar stereo system and innumerable hours of love and care, this car is incredible! If youre looking to buy a great car, the Z-34 is for you!
