2013 Impala LTZ made a frugal man happy. - 2013 Chevrolet Impala
By Steve - December 23 - 10:38 amWell, Im on the cusp of my 31st birthday and I have decided to finance my first vehicle. I love cars. I played racing games growing up, I watch Top Gear, Im in the loop. Speed, Power, and Style are all highly appealing to me. But, with that said, I live in the city. I commute to work everyday. I hope to travel. And, Im not rich. I needed a car that fit my profile and the deal needed to be right. The Impala was the perfect selection. I dont give a care about its dime a dozen style, or its plastic interior, its a great car. These new V-6s crank out power with zero effort. I absolutely love when it comes time to pass or merge, it just tickles me pink. Luckily, I wont be cruising any mountain ranges any time soon like your latest Acura commercial, so I dont need sports care steering. Honestly, the steering isnt great. The steering wheel is tight and it doesnt attack corners, but it doesnt matter. I dont need that when I pull into Walgreens. The cabin has all the space you need, and plenty of road presence. Everything everybody likes about the cars in these reviews are true. In short, I just wanted to drop in and advise not to split hairs over professional reviews. They are after innovation, design, and refinement. The Impala lacks primarily in innovation. However, this will save you thousands. When I was looking at a $13,000 Impala thats fully loaded at 55k miles and its right next to a Honda Accord with the same mileage but at $17,000, the decision was clear to me. Its all about the driver.

Older modeld - 2013 Chevrolet Impala
By kingkole02 - September 6 - 10:27 amThis model is one before the new versions came out. It seems really basic. The engine is far but does not compare to the newer models at all. Interior looks a little dated and the exterior looks the same. Interior space is nice and seats are comfortable, truck has ample space. Good full size car for travel but not for everyday usage.

Soild car - 2013 Chevrolet Impala
By ktm300xc - April 23 - 11:01 pmI have had my car for a year, so far, no problems. Yes, Edmunds thinks the car is to plain, no flash or modern styling. But I personally dont need that. I just want a solid, large comfortable car for a reasonable price that is reliable. Thats all. It gets about 20 mpg around town and 30+ mpg on the freeway. Plenty of power to pass on the freeway. The car has a speed limiter on the car, its set at a maximum of 112 mph. So if you want to go faster, you will have to rechip the computer. I can carry six people, but its more comfortable with a max of four. I bought the base LS model, has every option I need. And it has more options than the base 2014 Impala for a cheaper price!

Bang for Buck - 2013 Chevrolet Impala
By tnsailorguy - March 27 - 9:19 amMost professional reviewers do not live with the cars they review. It is all about style and handling. Yes a BMW drives great and is beautiful but who can afford to maintain one. This Impala provides a long list of features that make everyday driving much more enjoyable. The price of admission is very affordable and they cost practically nothing to maintain. I traded up from the 09 LT to the 13 LTZ. In 85,000 miles of driving my 09 cost $125 for non regular maintenance cost. The 13 LTZ is a bit firmer but the power from the 3.6 is amazing over the 3.9 of the 09. Unless you plan on using this car to carve mountain roads do not be put off by the reviews.

A great car - 2013 Chevrolet Impala
By polar8 - April 29 - 8:31 pmThis car is a great car. This first review posted before me shouldnt be advised to read. This car is a joy ride. I have not been in a smoother ride. It is a very comfortable car. It is very spacious. Every one ive had in the car wanted to fall right asleep in the seat. It doesnt get the best gas mileage but for a sedan with some speed its perfect. Some one who is losing speed on turns should probably turn off the traction control and remember a impala is not for turning on a dime. I like this car and it runs great. I would recommend this car for a great american made sedan and will tell you if your looking at this car, get it, its great
