Overview & Reviews
The 2008 Chevrolet HHR receives minor feature updates this year. OnStar is standard across the lineup and stability control has been added as an option. Debuting later in the model year will be the HHR SS with a 260-horsepower turbocharged engine.
- Smooth and quiet ride, plenty of cargo space, attractive cabin, excellent outward visibility.
- Lackluster handling and braking, unrefined engines, some low-grade interior plastics.

All frosting- no cake - 2008 Chevrolet HHR
By Fritzo2162 - June 23 - 9:42 amThe HHR looks sharp on the outside. Nice curves, cool retro looks, good paint. However, the inside looks like something out of a 1980s era car. Cheap foam plastic that scratches easily covers every inch of the cabin. The standard stereo puts the speakers on the floor, so it sounds muddy. Windshield is very small, so your field of view is a bit limited. The sunroof works well and the controls for it are well placed. Theres also a handy in-dash storage space that holds an IPod, GPS, sunglasses, etc. There are three poorly places cup holders (which makes a trip in a car build for 4 interesting), back seat is very cramped.

Dont buy chevy - 2008 Chevrolet HHR
By Darrell - December 21 - 10:41 pmBought brand new in 2008. Still have in 2016 only 29k miles on it, garage kept and lots of problems. A/C quit working already, lift gate wont open unless you use screw driver to unlatch it. Turn signal will not self cancel, mpg not as good as claimed. Almost have to lay in passenger seat to see traffic light. Sun visor wont stay in place. Will never buy a Chevrolet again!
