96 Chevy Beretta - 1996 Chevrolet Beretta
By Rev Mackey - August 16 - 10:03 amOverall a great car for dependability. I have had repeated problems with the brakes (three times to Midas for front and back) and it took a little time to get used to front wheel drive. Not a good car for winter driving.

1990 Chevy Beretta - 1990 Chevrolet Beretta
By Rachel - July 18 - 5:14 pmIts a good car, but I got mine in bad shape. My 90 Beretta right now takes $180 in gas a week., and that shouldnt happen. I think thats just because it needs a lot of work.

Unreliable Car - 1994 Chevrolet Beretta
By Laura - October 16 - 4:15 pmI have had my cars engine, transmission, tires, tierod & axel, water pump, belt all replaced in less than a year of having it & in one week it had to be fixed twice! It is now getting worked on as I am writing this. Do not BUY Berettas. They are NOT RELIABLE! Trust me.

Has its Days - 1995 Chevrolet Beretta
By Bilke - May 11 - 2:00 amThis is my second Beretta so that says a lot. I bought a Z26 new and a coupe used. It has over 125,000 miles and it still runs pretty good. The handling is great. My Z26 was very fast. My coupe is just so-so.

high mileage problems - 1990 Chevrolet Beretta
By eric s - August 17 - 2:00 amAlthough the styling is real nice, there have been too many reliability problems with the on board computer system for a recommendation. I experienced problems with stalling and shutting off after extended highway driving. This does not represent too much of a problem if you are in town with plenty of opportunities to get a quick tow. However, if you are not armed with a cellphone and are in the middle of nowhere, as was my experience, this little auto will leave you high and dry if it decides to act up. The exterior bits are also inferior. The side molding comes off after a few years and the rubber handle to the turn signal tends to slide off.

Keep looking. - 1994 Chevrolet Beretta
By jkp1187 - July 11 - 2:00 amBought this car when my trusty old 1988 Chevy Celebrity was put out to pasture. The Beretta was nothing but a headache. Poor design of steering column the turn signal lever snapped in 1/2 after 6 months. Cost $200 to repair (!). Transmission went out -- twice. Head gasket started leaking. Alternator went out -- twice. Brakes were constantly going. Money and prayer kept it going to 167,000, when I got new Impala (which I have been very happy with). Almost didnt buy GM again b/c of this car, though....took a good deal on the Impala just to get me to look at it.

Its alright. But Im ready to get rid of - 1995 Chevrolet Beretta
By Benja - May 24 - 2:00 amI havent had the car for even a year and it seems like day after day the car get weaker and weaker. Im not saying the car is bad in any way, but I prefer excellent performance and I am not getting that in my Beretta. After I purchased this car from Dinacolas, aka signature in Spencerport, Ny. My only dislike about the car is how easy it rusts, and the fuel economy. I could drive 20 miles and i would lose 3/8s of a tank of gas. Other than that I loved the car, but its time for something new...

a P.O.S.... never spend your money on it - 1991 Chevrolet Beretta
By Charlie R. - February 24 - 2:00 amgreat speed & acceleration. horrible reliability. i have always had problems with batteries and starters. in the past 2 months ive had spent a total of $1,684 on 3 different problems. i emplore you to never consider this car for a purchase. let it die off the face of the earth like it deserves... every owner that ive talked to has hated owning it. i dont know what these people are talking about or that they realize that we are discussing the 91 chevy beretta.
