  • Electrical Problems or LEMON? - 2004 Chevrolet Aveo
    By -

Leased 3 wks ago. Mileage aprx 400km/city. Overall great but worried about a poss. electric prob. 4 days after I got it battery died & most info I got was that they adjusted loose connection. It hasnt died a 2nd time: YET.Last few days every time I start it the digital clock has lost time: this tells me there is a prob: this is what happened right before the battery went last time. Prob seems intermittent, but Im hoping it dies again before my first 30 days are up so I can either break my lease or get a different vehicle. Maybe I got unlucky with a lemon, & it if weren’t for the electrical prob I would give it an excellent rating on perform & design.

Great little car, fun to drive, and got lotsa compliments on it. One drawback: For a small car, the gas mileage leaves something to be desired.

This is the best car I have ever owned! It is roomie inside, handles wtih ease, it can do 70 without skipping a beat. It has an awesome sound system with mp3 player, power everything. I would highly recommend this car to anyone who likes small cars.

It has so many little added features that I really like the car. I have only had it a little over a week but I love driving it and it will get up and go. Fun to drive too.

  • First new car... - 2004 Chevrolet Aveo

I am SO excited about this car... I was driving a 91 jetta that I put $4,000 into in under 18 months-- I was NOT going to deal with anyh more used car problems... The aveo was the cheapest new car i could possibly by, I went to 12 dealerships and was in LOVE with this car. It is an AWESOME value and I dont think I could have possibly done any better for what I had to go on. Im 18, with a cosigner and a little help for the down payment, Im paying $175 a month... totally do-able.

  • Great car for the price - 2004 Chevrolet Aveo

The Aveo Special Value Edition is an excellent vehicle for the price. With current rebates and incentives you can own this vehicle for less than $8000. Its quick and is fun to drive. MPG is around 32 MPG combined so far. Handling is good at city speeds, but gets a little "loose" on the expressway.....probably due to the smaller tires and light body weight.

The Chevy Aveo looks like a winner. Great styling and roomy. Believe it or not,the cabin, except for the front seat hip room which is a few MMs narrower, is roomier than a Corolla. The drive is good and the performance is fine. The fit and finish seems very good and after test driving the Aveo, the Kia Rio,and the Accent back to back, the Aveo came out a clear winner in all aspects.Especially the low noise levels compared to the other two.The car is built by Daewoo (lots of junky cars here) and sports a GM badge(just drive a new Cavalier and youll remember why you swore off GM so many years ago) Well see if GM lets us down this time,so far so good.

  • Excellent for the money - 2004 Chevrolet Aveo

Lets face it-- it only makes sense to rate this car compared to others in its price range... and in that context I am very pleased. Fit and finish is better than I expected, but the biggest surprise is the respectable ride and comfort. I got several extra rebates as a GM card holder, so the price was unbelievable!
