96 Hotrod Buick Roadmaster - 1996 Buick Roadmaster
By biggsteve - May 20 - 1:03 amThis is the 3rd Roadmaster that my family has had the priveledge of owning. The first 2 were 1992 models with the 180bhp 350 V8. The first one was sold but I still own the second and it has just over 197,000 miles and rufuses to die. The 96 I have now has a dynomax 2 1/2 in exhaust system that has allowed me to achieve 36.5 mpg highway and 18-22 city depending on how i drive. I have also added a K&N cold air intake to eliminate that ugly dual box system GM used as well as a throttle body airfoil and intake elbow for a Camaro. Other than some fit and finish issues that my other cars didnt have this car looks better and at 62" i have plenty of leg room.

The "Baby Limo" - 1992 Buick Roadmaster
By Joe Gray - March 6 - 11:56 pmI wanted a bigger safer car in 1997 then became 2nd owner at 68K miles. New tranny at 122K. New heater core at 130K. Two alternators, 3 or 4 mufflers. Rubber door trim wont stay on, I re- glue it, but looks OK if I dont wanna bother at the time. I rely on rear side view mirrors when changing lanes on the freeway - has a blindspot. Primary around town driving is in Drive, not OD. Ive bought tires once, highway, not all season. This car is not for sale and I drive it everyday.

Nicest Car on Planet - 1992 Buick Roadmaster
By delapidote - January 7 - 11:08 amSince I bought this car, I have nothing but enjoyment out of driving it. I am the father of 3 kids so I needed extra seating capacity and storage room also. This car is very quiet and smooth running for a car of its milage. It is loaded down with every feature for a price that everyone can afford. I really do love this car alot and affectionately refer to it as "the beast". It rides smooth as silk, tough as a tank, may use a little too much fuel but the ride is well worth it. And maintenance and repair on this car is easy and inexpensive which I think makes up for the fuel cost. If I had the money to buy a Hummer, I would buy this car instead.

What a Car! - 1993 Buick Roadmaster
By Mary Ann - November 17 - 7:19 pmThis vehicle had belonged to my Mother. It was given to me 2 years ago. It is the most comfortable and reliable car by far. Everyone who rides in it cannot believe how comfortable it is. I love it and will keep it even if I eventually buy another vehicle. It now has 104,000 original miles and we just recently put a new stereo system with CD and new speakers.

Im 62" and they did it right! - 1996 Buick Roadmaster
By P. Robb - September 26 - 4:55 pm26 MPG with the A/C on at 6,000 feet and above. I just converted it to E85 Ethanol at $1.99 per gallon and 105 Octane... sweet! This wagon is fast, quiet, roomy, and very dependable! Oh yeah, parts and repairs have been cheap! After all, its a Chevy driveline! Mine has power front seats, both driver and shotgun. And, Im certain that anyone with headroom issues has failed to properly lower the seats as I have loads of headroom and armroom and legroom. This wagon is an absolute pleasure to drive. If you seek comfort, spaciousness, and economy at a bargain price, you should look at the 1996 Roadmaster!

Big Car--Good Gas Milage--sleepr! - 1996 Buick Roadmaster
By Dan Bower - July 10 - 8:06 pmThis big fast car gets around 17 mpg around town and 24 on the highway. Leather interior is luxurious, durable, and the air conditioning is so cold itll make your teeth hurt. The last year for the Roadmaster is first year for this 4L60E trans--bad combonation! Other than wrestling the trans problem to the ground, owning this agile pachaderm is fun and keeps the miles off the new iron, which is leased. I will not hestitate to get another one of these after this one answers the dispatcher of That Great Junk Yard In The Sky---but next time a low-mile kitty from, say, Palm Beach or Clearwater.

Roadmaster Love - 1995 Buick Roadmaster
By fmeveritt - June 7 - 12:08 pmOur beautiful, powerful, comfortable, and reliable Roadmaster has seen our family of three children and three dogs through thick and thin and always been there for us. We have talked heart-to-heart while taking long trips to the Northeast we have lovingly polished and nurtured her we have humbly accepted the accolades of teenage parking-lot attendants while going over the attributes of her 5.7L Corvette engine, which moves this baby out when she wants to. As one of the best representatives of a dying breed-- the American Station Wagon--she is nonpariel it is up to Dodge to take up the mantle, but as wonderful as the chopped Magnum is, it will never rise to the level of the Roadmaster.

Buick Roadmaster Ownership - 1995 Buick Roadmaster
By E. Steele - March 16 - 4:11 pmI am still driving this vehicle after 10 years of almost problem free operation. The only chronic problem I have ever had is with the dealer installed alarm system. It is now disconnected!
