  • Fun to drive, expensive to own! - 1995 Buick Riviera
    By -

I bought my 1995 Riviera with 26,000 on it. It was pretty much trouble free until about 45,000 miles. Between 45,000 and 70,000 miles I spent about $5,000 on repairs. I really love the styling of this car, its fast, ride is great, and I got 25-27 mpg on the highway. If you really want one, be prepared to spend a lot of money with your mechanic. Youll also need to be meticulous about scheduled maintenance. I sold mine in July of 2003. Fortunately if youre in the market for one, theyre very reasonably priced.

  • Excellent value - 1996 Buick Riviera

Bought with 88,000 miles on it, paid $1500 over private party value at time. Have put 45,000 miles on it in 19 months. Has every option. Gets 28.5 mpg. Has great acceleration and is quiet inside. Work needed at purchase: slow leak in tire, tiny oil cooler line leak (caused by sitting and which went away first week I had it), cd player ocassionally skips. Done so far: top off supercharger oil once, 2 new tires, air filter, Broken since I bought it:absolutely nothing. Still has orig. spark plugs. I drive 47 miles each way to work, and it smooths the road and quiets the trucks I pass. I planned on $600 a year in repairs and 23 mpg when I bought it, so Im very happy because repairs are zero.

  • Love my Riviera - 1998 Buick Riviera

This is one of the best cars! I love to put the sunroof back and ride on sunny days. I chose this car over a 2004 sports car. It had only 29,000 miles when I bought it and was in perfect condition.

I love the way it handles and the seats are comfortable. It has small scratches, one on the fender and the rims on the hubcaps are dented. And it of course use a lot of gas. Has an 18 gallon tank

  • I Love this Car... - 1995 Buick Riviera

I found a pretty much mint 95 Maroon (I swear if it was that ugly green or some dumb color, I might not have bought it) supercharged, fully loaded, from the factory chrome rims to the factory wood trim, (which adds so much character to the car) to the one touch sun roof, I just had to have this car. Im going to be that guy at 50 who gets to say "Yup, I still got my first car and love this Riviera like it was the first time I laid eyes on it. We drove it cross country once. Boston to San Diego (2 week trip we will never forget) The Riviera made the trip even that much more fun. The seats are like sofas. If you can find a Riviera, buy it. I love my 95 Riviera.

  • Last sharp-looking Buick - 1997 Buick Riviera

I finally got my Riviera since lusting after the 1963 model when it came out. This is the best looking American car since 1963 and the last good-looking one. If only Buick would make another Riviera like this, Id consider buying another Buick. Oh, well!

  • I Love this Pain - 1995 Buick Riviera

I just stumbled upon this beauty in a Dodge Dealers used car lot, and got a great deal because I guess nobody wanted a big car. Lucky me! This car is my favorite ever. Power, handling, fun, and a real head turner. Its not like all the other cars that all look the same. Ive been asked countless times to sell it, but I wont. Shes got 140K now, and drives like the day I bought it. The engine is great. one warning, fun costs money! The car is expensive. Since its 10 years old, things are starting to break, but Ill just get it fixed and keep driving.

  • What a great car! - 1999 Buick Riviera

Ever since I was old enough to appreciate fine automobiles Id wanted a Corvette. Id also grown over the years to admire the Riveria. 1999 rolled around. My wife and I found our sparkling diamond white dream car on the showroom floor and knew it had to be now or never if we were ever going to own a new one. Guess what? I dont want a Corvette anymore. Who needs it? This car is a keeper. Ill treasure it for the rest of my life.
