Overview & Reviews
Audi's entry-level sedan and wagon are all new for 2002. Along with a redesigned body structure and new sheet metal, the new A4 receives a variety of changes to make it sportier. It is motivated by either a 170-horsepower 1.8-liter turbocharged four or a completely new 3.0-liter 220-horsepower V6, which can be mated to a six-speed manual transmission. Making its debut this year for non-quattro models is a continuously variable transmission (CVT), also known as multitronic. An in-dash six-disc CD changer and a dual-zone auto climate control top the standard features list.

GREAT Automobile!!! - 2002 Audi A4
By Quattro - January 27 - 10:00 amHaving traded up from a 1993 Saturn, I am in heaven. This is my first Audi and I have had a great experience all around. The salespeople were great, the car is beyond compare, and the value for the money is unbeatable.

ricks review - 2002 Audi A4
By ricky - January 23 - 6:03 ami recently purchased a 2002 1.8 T A4 quattro and the car is over all solid! transmission is smooth as silk and has semi comperable steering to 3 series BMW (with sports package). the only thing this car lacks it pick up 0 - 60 in 7.2 is a little week but the car is much less then other cars that can pull better acceleration times.. im sure the 3.0 can hold its own though. but ihavent driven it yet.

Great performance, poor reliability - 2002 Audi A4
By jenelson - November 27 - 2:00 amProblems included: The rear defogger didnt work and the rear window had to be replaced. When it rained, water would get trapped in the door wells and gush out onto our shoes when the doors were opened. The dealership couldn?t fix this. Audi customer service simply didnt care, and was often rude. An Audi service manager admitted to us that Audi was aware of this issue but had no solution. Audis official position was that the car was "performing as engineered". We recently noticed knocks and rattles and an overall loss of performance. The dealership determined that the entire transmission had to be replaced. At 12,500 miles, we had had enough and traded it in on a Passat.

CVT - 2002 Audi A4
By gearless - November 2 - 10:00 amIve always wanted an automatic that performs like a manual, maximizes gas like a manual, drives smooth like a manual without having to shift! Well, this CVT has it. 0-60 and mpg equal that of the manual and I have two hands to drive.

New A4 - 2002 Audi A4
By stylinstud - November 2 - 10:00 amThis car is better than the predecessor. My friend had the old A4, it was an awesome car to begin with. But now its his turn to be jealous of mine. More power, classier and sportier interior, understated elegance all-around. Although a little bit more zip would be nice like the all-famous inline-6. But otherwise, this is really a perfect car for a perfect customer who doesnt want to splurge 50k on a C320 and still get build quality that is on par if not better.

A4 - 2002 Audi A4
By metroboy - November 2 - 10:00 amBefore I made my purchase, I was deciding between the A4-3.0, BMW-330i, Acura TL-S, Mercedes Benz C320, and the Infiniti-G35. I must admit, for the price range, I could get the G35 and spank every other car on this comparison list. BUT, I went with the A4 because it was well rounded. Acceleration was under 7 seconds, has AWD Quattro, I love the interior, Dolphin Gray is a great color, double exhaust, and class. Something about spending 38k on an Infiniti just doesnt feel right.
