  • Great car, GREAT gas mileage... - 2013 Toyota Corolla
    By -

Ive been driving a GMC Sierra as of late, and getting 13-15 mpg, so I really needed something for my drive. I bought the 2013 Corolla S to commute across Phoenix. It drives really nicely. Tight, responsive steering, excellent braking, good acceleration (especially considering its a 1.8!) and a good looking car. Im 62" and the interior is a little tight for me, but its not too bad. I just drove to Idaho and back for a funeral, and I averaged 34 mpg. Long hours in the car arent super comfortable, but overall, for the money, its a great, zippy little car that gets excellent gas mileage and is pretty fun to drive. AND its a Toyota, so its gonna last! I would highly recommend one!

I bought my car brand new back in April 2013. I paid for leather and heated seat. Since I bought to car everything I drive it I have chronicle back pain. the discomfort is behind description. It was the biggest mistake of my life. In addition, the dealer where I bought the car was in my opinion, the worst of all.

My wife and I purchased this new 2013 model of the Corolla Type S 2013 this week for her birthday and to get rid of her old Saturn. We were not considering the Corolla because in the previous years model we did not like driving this car and felt the interior was too plain. Although there are similarities between the 2012 and 2013 model, some of the improvements were the touch screen digital display in the center of the dash. It allows me to touch navigate through my music and between my artillery devices like my iPhone. The bluetooth pairing was simple. Driving was fun, comfortable, and felt solid. The steering is loose but easy to navigate. The ride is very comfortable.

Many people pan the Corollas aging platform saying it has drum brakes etc. Well the Ford Focus has drum brakes and people think it is the best ever. I drove both cars, owned the new Dart and sold it, driven the Chevy Cruise and Noisy Mazda 3. Out of all the cars I did like the new Civic the most, however their price premium at dealer lots is not worth what you get on Civic Vs. Corolla. The new 2014 Corolla doesnt change much from the old and I didnt feel the need to wait for the newer model. The car is quiet, smooth, and build quality compared to the Dart isnt even close. The Focus was small on the inside compared to the Corolla and I would buy another Corolla in the future.

  • Happy with it - 2013 Toyota Corolla

Kids are grown up now, just needed a reliable commuter car with good gas mileage for going to work. Got the sporty loaded model and it looks nice for the price. Heated mirrors, sunroof, climate control, stitching, bigger rims & tires and nav are nice in this type/priced car. And I got an amazing deal since the 2014s were just out. It drives very average, is weak on power, and the interior fit and finish is old school, but for the value i couldnt find better. At the time, a similar Civic EX was almost $5k more. Now at 40k miles with zero issues, just oil changes and tire rotations. Even the tires still have a good 25k of tread left. I knew exactly what I was getting when I purchased it, and has fully lived up to my expectations. Would recommend, just dont expect much refinement in this model.

Super car for the money with great features for the price... interior is surprisingly roomy and the features and options are nice. Great trunk space.

I bought this car for my daughters 16th birthday so that she could take it to college when she is 18 and it is perfect for her. No problems at all. With that being said, my 2005 Sienna was in the shop recently and I had to put my family of 5 in it to go around town in. That put approximately 700 lbs of weight in the car. This car was very sluggish with this much weight in it. It had absolutely no get up and go to it. It is not a family car. My husband who is 510" had a really hard time fitting in the car and was very uncomfortable in it. This car is only good for one or two people and that is it.

  • Absolutely Love! - 2013 Toyota Corolla

I got this car 6 months ago after having my Honda for 13.5 years. I chose this over the brand new Corolla because I liked the way it looked, drove and overall interior comfort better. I have no complaints except the seats can get stained easily and its harder to get out. But the seats are very comfortable, I love the bluetooth capability. Sunroof is great, handles the road nice. I feel very safe in it. I highly recommend this vehicle to anyone looking for a smaller 4 door sedan.

  • Mediocre - 2013 Toyota Corolla

I bought a 2013 corolla LE after trading in my old car. I ended up with corolla when I wanted a Civic because of lower insurance and retail price. Biggest mistake ever. I didnt thoroughly research the car and its competitors before making my decision. The car rides OK. Very quiet cabin and good fuel economy but its very boring and the styling looks outdated for a 2013...but it does the job. I dont think this car has a good resale value. Many of its competitors offer more bang for the buck and Im seeing many of these corollas already for sale when its barely 1 or 2 years old. Toyota is also redesigning the corolla next year so thatll likely further hurt its value.
