  • DONT BUY THE PATHFINDER - 2013 Nissan Pathfinder
    By -

I bought my 2013 Pathfinder on April 19 and have just put 1000 miles on it. Since buying it it has shuddered at least a half a dozen times. The shudder lasts for about 2 to 3 seconds usually while trying to accelerate from a slow roll. The car has no power while the shudder is going on. Very Dangerous! I brought the car to the dealer and they told me that Nissan is aware of the problem and that it can take approximately 2 weeks to 2 months for Nissan to come up with a solution. I told the dealer that the car is unsafe to drive. They told me that Nissan told them that the car is safe to drive and that I need to “floor” the gas pedal when accelerating to bypass the shudder issue.

  • Not happy and here are the reasons - 2013 Nissan Pathfinder

I bought Nissan Pathfinder 2130 SL Premium a month ago and now I have 1000 miles on it and here is my experience. 1. Audio over Bluetooth is supported only in cars with Nav. Stupid because you get this option in $100 CD players this days. 2. After driving 40 to 50 miles, heater blows cold air. 3. Belt sign on the dash board even there is no one on the passenger seat. I hate to see red signs on my dash board. 4. When start Front defrost, AC gets turned on with it which is understood. When turn off front defrost, AC does not go off itself, it has to be turned off manually. This is not a big deal but if you have to do this twice a day like me, it bothers.

Very comfortable ride, love the new design. Fun to drive and very spacious. All that you would want for an SUV.

  • 2013 Pathfinder review after 2 weeks of driving - 2013 Nissan Pathfinder

Traded in acura mdx for something more affordable. I was pleasantly surprised with many of the features on the SL as listed in my fav features section. It drives and feels very similar to our 2004 acura mdx and has plenty of room in the 2nd and 3rd rows. Decent power and acceleration with good mileage (after 2 weeks im getting 20.1mpg average though). Overall you get great value for price paid.

  • Great Value...Very luxury feeling - 2013 Nissan Pathfinder

I had been looking at replacing my Subaru tribeca. I looked at the explorer, acadia, santa fe. and highlander. The explorers interior felt cheap compared to the acadia and pathfinder and it was not as quiet also. The santa fe was a decent vehicle but did not really like it. The toyotas interior felt patched together....two information screens, and second row seats seemed to be a pain to configure. It really came down to the Acadia SLT and the Pathfinder SL. I could have bought either but the pathfinder was thousands less than the GMC. So far I have put on about 2200 miles in two months. The ride is smooth and quiet. Interior is very upscale.

  • Knocking Sound - 2013 Nissan Pathfinder
    By -

I bought the 2013 Pathfinder SL on 11/26/2012. I started experiencing the knocking sound when accelerate the vehicle. I took it in to service, but the Technician could not hear it very well because it was snowy day with road noise. He told me to take it back at another time. I am planning to take it in again on my first oil change. It has about 1700 miles on it now. The car already had the Transmission Control Module re-programmed. I traded my 2011 Altima to Toyota and traded my 2011 Quest for this new Pathfinder I thought I gave Nissan another chance, but so far very disappointed. If they cant get rid of the knocking sound, I will get rid of the car in 2 years or before its out of warranty and of course NO MORE NISSAN.

At least until the transmission issues with stuttering and surging are sorted out, avoid this one. The storage spaces are poorly thought out, cant get the glove compartment open if theres a passenger in the front. The center console screen is confusing and low quality. No Bluetooth music connectivity unless you spring for navigation, and the Bluetooth phone is really noisy.

  • The best in its class!! - 2013 Nissan Pathfinder

I recently purchased this SUV and has been the best decision I ever made. Test drove and compared others including the Pilot, Highlander, Mazda CX9. The pathfinder outshines them all in interior aesthetics, comfort, cushioned drive and mileage. The almond leather on it is so good. I feel very proud as a owner and look forward to drive it every day.

  • Disappointed - 2013 Nissan Pathfinder

Purchased in April, the car has been to the dealership 3 times for repairs (over 30 days in the shop and counting, it is there now). First visit was for a misaligned hood and pax airbag issue. Second was for same Pax airbag issue and CVT, currently in for a new transmission due to cvt issues (stuttering between 15 and 20 mph). We are invoking our states lemon law to have Nissan buy back, we will see how that goes. Great looking car, quality is the worse I have ever seen in my 30 years of purchasing vehicles.

  • MY Wife and I really love this car! Purchased 2 months ago! - 2013 Nissan Pathfinder

For those complaining about the lack of multi disc changer in the Platinum edition... It replaces the cd changer with a dvd player which means that you can watch dvds on the main screen when in park. You also can put all of your music from your computer onto a dvd and listen to 100 times the music of a regular audio cd. My wife decided to get a 16gb usb drive ($10) to put all of her music onto and plugs into the port in console. On top of that you can stream bluetooth audio. We traded in a Honda Pilot and are very impressed with the improvement in handling, interior quality and gas mileage.
