This Year's Model Updates:

The Lexus LS 460 gets its first significant updates since being redesigned three years ago. Exterior styling receives only mild tweaks, but the electronics systems have been revamped and now include, among other items, an iPod interface and streaming Bluetooth audio. New Sport and Appearance packages also debut, and the new Safety Connect emergency telematics service is added to the standard features list, with additional Lexus Enform telematics as an option.

Pros:
  • Serene ride, impeccable construction, smooth and strong V8 power, smart electronics features, limolike rear-seat options.
Cons:
  • As exciting as a PBS pledge drive, grabby standard brakes with subpar stopping power.

  • "Purrfect" - 2010 Lexus LS 460

Have been a Mercedes S class and Cl owner for 25 years. Cant afford either any longer in this economy. Looked at the E class, XJ,XF, and BMW 550 (no interior storage). Passed a Lexus dealer and went in. Saw a great looking car, went for a test drive. Never left B4 leasing the Sport LS, it has every option and package that Lexus offers. The Sport suspension gives great road feedback and cornering ability. The Sport transmission gives amazing shifts and power. The body cladding, fabulous wheels, summer tires, and interior make this car something special. It is " Purrfect." Always thought a Lexus was a " Grandpa " car. Wow was I wrong!!

This is my 7th Lexus, 4 LS models and 3 RX models. Simply the best driving auto I ever have had. Dependable and for the comfort and size, the MPG is great. Overall 24 on the LS and 26 on the RX. Lexus service is fantastic and accommadating.

  • Great Car - 2010 Lexus LS 460

I was tired of the problems and expense of the Audi A8 and switched to the Lexus, and I am very happy about it, more comfortable, at least as nice to drive, and quieter. And I can expect it to be more reliable.

  • Perfect Car - 2010 Lexus LS 460

Ive owned 3 jags prior to this car and this car is the best I have ever owned. Feature after feature and a great smooth ride make this car great. Handling is almost perfect. Have had the car for a month and all is perfect.

  • The LS 460 L - 2010 Lexus LS 460

This is the first Lexus I have ever owned as a car collector. The LS 460 L has much bigger back seats than other Lexus models do. When you drive around you feel like your in an S550. You would think this car would have like 14 mpg. but this car doesnt. The GPS always comes in handy but now I dont think you could call a GPS a luxury feature. So remember, S550 vs. LS 460. LS 460 wins.

  • Excellent Japanese Quality... - 2010 Lexus LS 460

Lexus/Toyota continues to impress my family and myself. This is the primary car my wife drives. I drive a Mercedes S550 (brand-new) and I cannot express the disappointment I have had after spending over $110K. I have brought my Mercedes back to the dealer over 6 times since I took ownership. Lexus? Zero problems, zero trips to the dealer except for scheduled maintenance. My other family member has a BMW 5-series. Unacceptable reliability.

  • More " Purrfect." - 2010 Lexus LS 460

Wrote a review a few days ago. Just further information. My loaded Sport LS listed for a little over $78,000.00. A comparable S class would be $115,00.00. A fully equipped 7 Series would be a little less. While each car has certain advantages over the other, the Lexus is an amazing bargain. The build quality, features, and comfort are as good as you can buy for any price. If you ask, the dealer will give you completely free service for 4 years as well.

  • Luxury and Reliability for Less - 2010 Lexus LS 460

This is my third Lexus LS, following a 2001 and a 2004 LS 430. Honestly, the two earlier cars were much quieter, as if powered by a huge electric motor. The drivers seat was more comfortable and its cushion extended farther forward to support under my legs. (I am 63" tall.) Other than that, the 2010 is a much-improved car. The motor has direct injection at very high pressure and it idles like a diesel - very noisy, especially compared to the earlier two cars - but the horsepower and torque are much greater. The optional adjustments to the transmission and suspension change the character of the car, unlike in other premium cars. Reliability is a luxury in itself - this car never breaks.

  • Disappointing for the money - 2010 Lexus LS 460

I traded my 2002 LS-430 for the 460. The older 430 seemed much more of a luxury car in style, roominess, and feel. The gas mileage on the 460 is awful and exterior style is not distinctive enough to set it apart as a luxury car. It looks like a car costing $30-45K rather than the sticker $76K .

  • best car I have ever owned - 2010 Lexus LS 460

Having had Mercedes vehicles for 25 years and being tired of all the problems I decided to switch to the Lexus 460. What an incredible vehicle. Not a single problem with the new car. Took it in once for a routine check and the service dept. was unbelievably nice. The all wheel drive let me drive on some recent ice and snow as if the streets were clear. This truly is the best car I have ever owned.
