If you drive you will buy it - 2010 Volkswagen GTI
By stluis51 - July 19 - 8:33 pmIve had my Candy White GTI now for 2 weeks. Im very happy with the purchase. Researched for 6 months and cross shopped civic si, speed3, wrx and after all was said and driven the gti won by far. This car is sporty, quiet, super fun, and spacious. The comfort while driving is almost luxury car like but still very capable. Fuel economy is also very good for a car this fun. Nice shifter. Only option worth getting are the xenons and rubber mats. The rest is overpriced and you really dont need it. Also a consumer reports top pick, automobile mag car of the year. Be sure to haggle got my for $22000 with xenons and free mats also got the 1.9% financing which is awesome. No buyers remorse at all.

the hot hatch lives again - 2010 Volkswagen GTI
By volsfan0911 - June 26 - 1:46 pmHad for 1 week now. Although VW has a bad rap for reliability, so far, so good. Build quality is outstanding both inside and out. 2.0L turbo 4 banger is a beautiful motor - torque band starts right off idle practically and pulls cleanly to 6K. Shifter, clutch, steering, seats, real handbrake (a lever, not a stupid foot pedal) - all the drivers controls are excellent. No torque steer, XDS genuinely helpful. Not as fast as a MS3 but much more composed and refined. My only car and is a GREAT commuter IMHO. Reasonable mileage, comfy enough for road trips yet an absolute blast to hit backroads on. Feels much quicker than the numbers suggest. And its FAST - 100 mph comes up quickly!

APR Stage II GTI Makes all the differenc - 2010 Volkswagen GTI
By wydopn - January 25 - 12:33 pmI have always been an Honda person. This is my first VW - and I loved it from first drive. The feel is very different from the SI and Speed3s that Ive owned. I just had the car flashed with APRs stage II and this car is now unreal! Im getting 26MPG around town and over 30 on the freeway plus I can blow past most muscle cars as long as I get a rolling start (otherwise I cant stay connected due to excessive torque).

Best VW to the date - 2010 Volkswagen GTI
By mike475 - October 3 - 3:12 amOwners since Dec 2009 of 4dr DSG GTI + Autobahn Package (aka leather seats and moonroof). It is great car all around. Quality is top noch (I guess no surprise here). Even MKV Jetta it looks like the car was made by different company. I love about everything about the car, so does my wife.

First GTI - 2010 Volkswagen GTI
By John - August 31 - 5:43 pmTons of fun for the money and Teutonic build quality. GTIs love the back roads and the turbo has no lag for immediate and decent burst. Best at high revs but an additional 20-30 bhp would be nice. In town or traffic it is easy and quiet. Highway I am getting around 30 mpg. Lot of rear leg room - better than 3 series BMW or Audi A4 - and hatchback flexibility. This car has almost everything and I didnt bother to look at anything else, it meets all my practical and fun needs. Taken me 30 years of driving and admiring the GTI to finally buy one and have absolutely no regrets.

Best Decision EVER! - 2010 Volkswagen GTI
By jroc13 - February 13 - 7:53 amIve owned two Audis in the past five years...then I saw the 10 GTI and couldnt resist. Wow, what a great decision. I smile each time I drive the car. Its so fun, so fast and so sexy! People honk as I pass, ask about it when Im filling up at the gas station and beg to drive it. The exhaust note turns heads and the 18" wheels are dynamite. I jam the DynaAudio system to the max and wow can it deliver! I push this car to the limit daily and it consistently delivers. I plead with anyone reading this to go test drive one immediately.
