  • Nice car with poor reliability - 2010 Toyota Venza

It looks great, very nice to drive, i love all the features, but i will never buy another Toyota. Ours is getting a new transmission installed at the time i write this review- and its backordered, our service guy said its a common failure on awd Venzas. Our A/C quit needing a new compressor unit, right seat heater quit, front brake rotors warped, the nav system often freezes up, and after 32,000 miles this car rattles and is starting to feel old. Its a nice vehicle but i seriously doubt it will hold up well, my old 98 Rav4 felt better than this with 200,000 mi. While loitering around the service department waiting i can say Im not the only one disappointed with my new Toyota!

We own a 2003 Toyota matrix and we never had a problem with it. though Toyotas suffering from the recall media hype, we still consider buying a venza. WE LOVE IT! the interior is very well crafted with all the electronic gadgets in mind. JBL speakers are awesome. we got the panoramic roof and the kids enjoy the view. bluetooth saves us tons from buying different headsets. the backseat is very roomy. the leather seats are spectacular. i just wish we can save on gas.

  • Poor gas mileage - 2010 Toyota Venza

positive points: LOTS of interior space, blue tooth, pretty quiet ride. negative points: averaging 21 mpg with conservative driving, 4 cylinders had to struggle a bit going on long uphill stretches, exterior skin seems to be thinner and less ding resistant compared to my older Toyota.

  • Awesome Car! - 2010 Toyota Venza

I had a Venza as a rental car And I fell in love with it. So I bought one shortly after that. I Love the way it looks, runs, and drives! What a great V6 this car has! Decent gas mileage around 20-ish in the city and 26-28 on highway. Nice 20 in. alloy wheels! Great leather! Really nice quality! Great reliability so far! Great room in the trunk area. Nice to have a i-pod/Mp3 dock in your car. Everyone I know loves the styling. Was a little nevus buying a Toyota after the massive recall but Im so happy I did. Best car ever! Would Highly recommend it. This is my first Toyota And most likely not the last.

  • My Venza - 2010 Toyota Venza

I am from Japan and they dont have them there so when I moved to America I liked them and purchased one. When I lived in Japan I use to own a Rav4, it was okay it was older.Anyway, all in all I like my Venza and so do my kids, I love the way it drives its like a driving on a boat with no waves a nice smooth ride. The interior is cool too. Nice colors. All in all I think you should purchase one its worth it. We Japanese are not cheap so trust us. And about the recall no problem what so ever. Every car company has mistakes. Gm had one with gas and Saab did with doors.

  • Venza: The Un-SUV - 2010 Toyota Venza
    By -

I bought the Venza because after about 15 years of driving sports coupes and sports sedans, I wanted something different, something with more room for those occasional trips to Home Depot. The Venza is replacing a Lexus IS 350. The Venza is quick, not fast, but quick. Because of a lower center of gravity than the typical SUV, it handles mostly like a sedan. The 20" wheels (standard with the V6) probably help with that. I like the Venzas aggressive styling and its room cargo space. Overall great car.

  • Everything I had hoped for - 2010 Toyota Venza
    By -

I have had for a month and it is everything I hoped it would be. Very comfortable, roomy and attractive. Been getting 22-24 MPG around town. Have not had on the open road yet. Look forward to our first long road trip next week.

  • Too hot my - 2010 Toyota Venza

Love the outside of this car. I would return this car tomorrow if I would not loose 34 thousand dollars. I have had it two weeks. The Glass windshield is 36 inches in width with no tint. The plastic black vinyl dash board is also 20 inches deep. Add all these up plus 95 degrees outside. Its like being in a barrel of burning oil. The dash board is ugly plastic it absorbs heat. Black. Horrible. I called the dealership once they have your cash forget it. Do not buy.

  • Great car overall but with a few issues - 2010 Toyota Venza

Im going on a little over 4 years with my 2010 Venza, and I still love it. I have very low mileage (32,500) due to using public transport for my daily commute, so Im still anxious to see how the reliability holds up as the miles increase. The car is nice to drive, handles well, and I love the space available. The gas mileage is ok. I will agree with some of the other reviewers that the ride can be a little bumpy at times, but I knew that was possibility because of the large rims and smaller profile tires. I also have had some interior creaks and rattles that can be annoying, especially because the interior build quality seems pretty decent. Overall I am very pleased with the vehicle.

  • Hated to part with our 2010 4 cylinder Venza - 2010 Toyota Venza
    By -

We had the car for 4 years and 1 month over 89,000 miles. We averaged 22K miles per year, never had any issues at all, only replaced tires and battery. We got combined 25.6 mpg on the original Bridgestones, harder riding tires. Replaced with Dunlop tires, then dropped to a combined 24.7 mpg, but it was a much better and smoother riding tires, worth losing 1 mpg. The car was always a pleasure to get on the road and travel and vacation in.
