Pros:
  • Smooth and powerful V6, available all-wheel drive, seven- or eight-passenger seating.
Cons:
  • Some lower-grade plastics in cabin, expensive options packages.

  • Uber Impressive - 2011 Toyota Sienna

This is our 3rd minivan and our last. The Sienna is the most impressive van I have ever had the pleasure of owning. I researched vehicles for approximately 5 months. Many test drives. Many consumer reviews. Many talks with owners of vehicles considered. The Sienna was the best value for the features we have. The vehicle moves nearly silently down the road at highway speed. Extremely smooth ride and very agile handling. The vehicle is firmly planted to the road and is very easy to drive and control. I found the vehicle to have a higher stance and better visibility than the other vans. I am very tall, and the Sienna offers the best driving room for my stature. Arguably the best on the market.

Previously owned 3 Grand Caravans. The first thing we noticed about the Sienna was the smooth and quiet ride, wow! The fit and finish are beautiful/sporty with a bit of "Swagger"! The gas mileage is good for a vehicle of this size and power. U-turns in tight spaces are no longer a problem. This van has the best turning radius of any weve owned! Another nice touch is the rear windows wiper blade. It is placed at the top of window, hidden under the rear "spoiler". Since two of our three children are now in their teens it is very nice that the cabin is so roomy. The whole family is pleased with this van.

  • Good purchase overall - 2011 Toyota Sienna

Being someone young without kids, the thought of a minivan haunted me at night, but after outgrowing my sequoia and the poor mpg I looked at the new sienna. After shopping multiple dealers, ended up saving 4k off sticker price. It drives VERY nice! Drives like a car yet the room of a full size suv with way better mpg. So far around 21-22 mpg combined driving. Nice interior although sunroof is a joke, only opens about 1/3 of the way. Navigation was worth the $$. Still cant believe no auto-lights in a $38k vehicle. With a bad back, I was a little disappointed with seat comfort. The heated seats help though. Besides the minivan stigma, Im happy with my purchase.

  • Still gives the biggest bang for the buck - 2011 Toyota Sienna

Just bought a LE V6 FWD. This is my 2nd Sienna following the 04 and my 4th mini van in total. Considered Highlander and Pilot also. Pilot is high maintenace with the short timing belt change cycle nonsense plus the guzzling yet weak engine. Highland is good over all but it is simply more money for a less car compared to Sienna. The new Odyssey is simply too ugly in my taste. The new van drives good feels very stable on free way speed. like the LEs backup camera and XM radio. Like the front floor pad area which is a perfect place for putting a lady hand bag or something. The power drivers seat is very supportive and comfortable. 2nd row seats have more than enough lag room for most

Not only is my car an amazing fit for my family and I, but its performance is great as well. Also, when driving long distances with children its great to be comfortable which we definitely are. I I am most grateful to the sale person at Toyota Grossing, Sargon C, without whom I wouldnt have been able to pick the best fit for us. He made my experience wonderful and easy. There were no complications and it was the best customer service I have received.

  • So Far, a Great Decision. - 2011 Toyota Sienna

First Toyota Ive ever owned. Great experience so far. Interior design has a fresh, crisp look. Plastic seems a little on the cheap side, but the panels fit together nicely. Full function of the interior lights takes some time to figure out. Excellent visibility, terrific head lights, and one of the best suspensions Ive ever had on a vehicle. Steering is utterly effortless, almost freakishly so. Has a wonderfully tight turning radius for a vehicle of this size. Stow and go seats in rear are a snap to work, and function well. So big and roomy on the inside that my daughter now frequently requests to go play in it! Plenty of engine, and a butter-smooth transmission to boot.

  • Great Van - 2011 Toyota Sienna

So far I only put 350 miles so cant comment on long term durability. But I drove 06 Odyssey Touring a few times so Ill use Odyssey as benchmark. I like the Sienna ride better (I came from BMW 5 series with sport package. To me, the Sienna is ideal for a family hauler), quieter than Odyssey, ride is not as firm/bouncy, handling is about the same. The transmission shifts smooth. Interior looks modern but lack the quality I expected. I feel the Odyssey interior trim/buttons are well made, Sienna feels cheap, especially compare to BMW and Acura (maybe not a fair comparison but the van cost 30k+). Mileage is good, I got 28 mpg (from MID) for almost all highway driving.

  • Best MiniVan ever - Period - 2011 Toyota Sienna

Just cant get over the fact how good this van is despite bad publicity on Toyota vehicles. Test drove the 2011 Honda Odyssey, Chrysler Town and Country etc. They are no match. Excellent price! well worth it. I will buy Toyotas from now on! Heck with the media!

  • Empty Nesters Favorite - 2011 Toyota Sienna

IMHO this is the nicest-looking 2011 minivan. The front end is much more attractive than gen-2 and rear-end design (especially the taillights) is an outstanding improvement. Meanwhile successive Odyssey redesigns have become quirkier/weirder. (Did a bolt of lightning strike the rear section, causing it to sag?) Our third minivan - It is much quieter, roomier and has far more driver legroom and seat comfort than 02 Odyssey EX-L. Center console intrudes far less than 07 Entourage GLS-L. Gas mileage is significantly better than either. It handles well, very stable in cross-winds and has ample power. AND... Our ownership experience has proven Toyota to have the highest reliability .

  • First Van - 2011 Toyota Sienna

We purchased our van with the premium package. Paid about 3k under MSRP. We were looking for an SUV but found the Sienna to be more practical. It is by far the best looking van on the market. There will be a new Honda Odyssey this year but the pictures online dont impress. Our initial thoughts on the van: Super quiet. Super fun to drive. Great turning radius. Fun options. Options packages are too expensive. Would have went with the limited but the interior styling is over the top.
