Toyota Heading the way of GM - 2011 Toyota Sienna
By Toyotanomore - July 18 - 3:06 pmHave Sienna for 2 kid family and one on the way. Purchased for leather and DVD player. Very disappointed. Complex dashboard distracting from driving experience, readout display busy. Plastics are awful, buttons and lever feels like they will snap off in your hand. Front seats very comfortable, rear seats roomy, but awkward for anyone over 510". Feels like it was designed for short, obese people. Reeks of cost cutting and poor ergonomics. Ride OK but get seasick at high speed. V6 motor/transmission hunts a lot: revs without oomph. Handling also awkward, too much curb weight. Trunk huge, but hard to load. Rear seat already broken, stability control/DVD keep giving problems.

Should have bought the Odyssey - 2011 Toyota Sienna
By Martin M. - January 24 - 11:50 amMy wife and I were very excited to be the first on our block to own the new Sienna Limited. But since driving it home, weve experienced a lot of problems for a brand new car. The navi screen has blacked out on warm days and the Toyota dealer cant seem to fix the issue. We found the road noise on the highway is really bad. Fuel economy is about 10 MPG around town and maybe 16 at best on the highway, both my wife and I are irate about this. The dealer says its "Breaking in" (at 4000 miles). I came out to the car last night and it wouldnt start. Toyota Customer Service thinks it could be a security fault and now Im back at the dealer. Im just glad I was at home and not stranded at night!

Poor Engineering - 2011 Toyota Sienna
By londo1 - January 11 - 12:35 pmPoor service, poor engineering = worthless car...We also had issues with unintended acceleration. Our car was in an accident as a result of this, yet Toyota claimed nothing was wrong with the car. We will never buy another Toyota product.

2011 Sienna - Recall Imminent - 2011 Toyota Sienna
By DaddyNOTlike - October 9 - 4:16 amWe have owned this car for less than two weeks. After 10 days, the rear trunk door stopped working. We took it to our local dealership body shop at were told the hinge had a problem, like the Highlander in recent times. They tried to fix it, didnt work. Now we find out the tailgate is bent at the top, so the entire rear trunk door needs to be replaced. At the same body shop, an identical 2011 Sienna (1 week old this time) was parked for the identical same problem. Their door was also bent at the exact same spot as ours and refused to work. The steering has been giving me creaking noises since day 1. Other 2011 Toyota owners have also had same problems w/passengers doors within 1 week

Wow, Not What We Expected - 2011 Toyota Sienna
By brightsun1 - May 22 - 2:00 amThis is our 3rd Sienna. Always liked the solid quality of these cars. New interior panels are very hard and cheap looking. My wife loves all the convenience gadgets. But.. the sliding doors are starting to stick and the power steering is making a strange crunching noise. Took it to the dealer. Yes, Toyota is aware of these things. There is no fix. Now, some of the electronics seem to be intermittently failing. It is amazing to me that these things are happening if Toyota had tested them out before releasing production. Last model was higher quality.

Really dont like this car... - 2011 Toyota Sienna
By shallhb - July 14 - 1:29 amAfter really studying min-vans and SUVs, I decided on the Sienna, based partly on friends recommendations, based partly on experience with Lexus (a near Toyota). Purchased a limited in April. What a disappointment!. We paid for a aftermarket navigational device. It never arrived, and we got our money back in August. In September, I hit our gate and damaged a door. the car was in the shop for 5 weeks because Toyota didnt have the parts available (according to the body shop, at least). Its noisy, big and a rough ride. Mine is once again in the shop. Brake trouble this time.

Bad Purchase - 2011 Toyota Sienna
By ANW - February 2 - 10:00 amI spend more than $35K and got a car with no auto head lights, no turning signal on side mirrors. What kind of car is this? Even a low-end Camry comes with auto head lights now. The wood panel is so cheap looking. Anyway, my wife wants it and that is what she get - a lousy van.

Great car if you like Squeaky Seats - 2011 Toyota Sienna
By marktuyet - January 11 - 12:22 pmNice looking mini van but Toyota skimped on the quality of the interior especially the seats. Imagine your surprise after buying an expensive automobile and every time you or a passenger are in it the seats squeak terribly. I am talking about all the seats. The seat backs squeak and the seat bottoms squeak when you shift your body weight the slightest. They squeak when you pull away and when you brake the van. The second row seats can be removed but you are left with a big, bulky track above the floor level. Terrible design ! I have owned this vehicle over 1 year and have over 20,000 miles on it.
