Excellent - 2011 Toyota Sienna
By fcarre2 - February 28 - 12:04 pmPrevious Odyssey owner but needed AWD. The difference between the Honda and Toyo products are a wash...+ and - to both...hard to believe people make out the difference to be greater than it is. Owned an Escalade ESV before the switch to minivans and cant believe I even thought the Caddy was a great family car. My wife came around to minivans following the Escalade debacle and never looked back...she is very happy. Minivans are incredibly flexible and easy to live with especially when it comes to parking (good luck parking Escalade in tight spots). Better performance in mtn driving than expected secondary to a well balanced suspension. 6 tall and seats are great

Should have bought the Odyssey - 2011 Toyota Sienna
By Martin M. - January 24 - 11:50 amMy wife and I were very excited to be the first on our block to own the new Sienna Limited. But since driving it home, weve experienced a lot of problems for a brand new car. The navi screen has blacked out on warm days and the Toyota dealer cant seem to fix the issue. We found the road noise on the highway is really bad. Fuel economy is about 10 MPG around town and maybe 16 at best on the highway, both my wife and I are irate about this. The dealer says its "Breaking in" (at 4000 miles). I came out to the car last night and it wouldnt start. Toyota Customer Service thinks it could be a security fault and now Im back at the dealer. Im just glad I was at home and not stranded at night!

Poor Engineering - 2011 Toyota Sienna
By londo1 - January 11 - 12:35 pmPoor service, poor engineering = worthless car...We also had issues with unintended acceleration. Our car was in an accident as a result of this, yet Toyota claimed nothing was wrong with the car. We will never buy another Toyota product.

Great Car - 2011 Toyota Sienna
By jschwartz - September 15 - 11:55 amI had a Dodge Grand Caravan in the late 90s and loved the space (not the reliability). Since then have had a Tahoe, Envoy, CRV and Volvo S80 (the worst piece of junk I ever owned). This car is just for my wife and I (and a dog). We love this car. It is spacious, lets us hang clothes on a trip and in general is just a wonderful experience. To those who complain about the NAV, I would say learn to use it properly. Further, no NAV system is perfect. I have not used the voice activation, but from what I can see in the manual, it works great. Love the bluetooth as I do not always hear my phone, but with the connected bluetooth, never lose a call. I have averaged almost 21 MPG.

Excellent except for climate controls - 2011 Toyota Sienna
By pragmed - September 5 - 6:46 amExcellent experience with one exception. The climate controls are hard to see in daylight. You cannot tell which mode, vent, etc is in use.

OK Car, BAD Doors, AWFUL Tires - 2011 Toyota Sienna
By pseca - August 17 - 4:32 pmPay very special attention to the plastic coated steel wire that is part of power sliding door mechanism. You can find this wire in the groove/track under the rear windows. The plastic coating of this wire on my van dried up and cracked, exposing the steel wire. When this happens, the door will be hard to open. When the steel is completely exposed, eventually the cable can snap. It happened to me and my doors (yes, both sliding doors) are only in manual mode now. I was told that it would cost $2000/door to fix. The front doors have welding issues. When they are opened and closed, they make a LOUD "snapping" noise. This model came with runflat tires. They are expensive to replace.

Buyer beware! Sienna tires dont last! - 2011 Toyota Sienna
By geri6 - July 13 - 5:25 pmMake sure to put money aside if you buy a Sienna! At 13,000 miles I was told I needed new tires on the front. By 15,000 I definitely needed new tires! Toyota shuffled me back and forth to corporate, Firestone, and back to the dealer. At no point did Toyota ever take responsibility for anything! Firestone was great, but Toyota was definitely lacking (and I had followed their maintenance regime to the letter!). So, get a good deal if you plan to buy a Sienna because you will probably be getting a new set of tires within the first year! Crazy! P.S. They also "corrected" the alignment--even though it is impossible to adjust the rear alignment without shims! Seriously Toyota?

2011 Pre-Dawn Grey Limited AWD - 2011 Toyota Sienna
By krispykreme - June 16 - 2:00 amPerformance- Excellent engine and transmission combination. Shift smoothly and always find right gear. Interior- The 2011 version take a step back in the interior material as compare to my 04/08 limited. Too much hard plastic. Loved the lounge seat. Gas Mileage- Only getting slightly above 17 mpg. Drive and Ride- Handling is much better than previous generation. While the steering is numb, handling is about as good as 2011 Odyssey. Ride is silky smooth. Unlike the 2011 odyssey we later test drove, Sienna is smooth with better body control. Brake- Excellent brake. Firm and does not fade.

Quality Check - 2011 Toyota Sienna
By bruinville - June 14 - 3:36 pmI just bought my 2011 Toyota Sienna LE from Irvine Power Toyota. When trying to store the 8th passenger seat in the designed trunk area, the car was missing the parts (hooks and belt) to store the seat correctly. As I looked around the dealership, this looked to be common in other Siennas (XLE and Limited included). While this issue is not life threatening (I took the car back and the parts are on back order leading me to believe this is a common problem), I question the quality control process. Given all the negative publicity of the company, one would think Toyota would have stronger checkpoints in place to eliminate problems. Anyone else experience the same issue?

Low End - Wind noise, cheap plastics - 2011 Toyota Sienna
By ertw - April 5 - 5:46 pmThe low end model of Sienna has quite a bit of wind noise (especially when I drove more than 60 miles/hr) and the interior is very cheap looking (plastics look very cheap).
