Cons:
  • Some lower-grade plastics in cabin, expensive options packages.

  • So far so good - 2011 Toyota Sienna

Really like the versatility of the Base Sienna. Removable seats and the folding 3-Row is a great feature. Runs great for a minivan. The 4 cyl engine (hard to get in the Los Angeles area) has enough pep to get us around town. Strangely, when I was looking into the jack compartment in the back of the van, it seems there was a big motor there which I think could only be for the sliding doors but this van does not have auto sliding doors. does this mean it can be upgraded?

We just bought an SE 2 weeks ago. Drives better than my 2002 Odyssey. Acceleration is good. The appearance is just stunning. I got a pre-dawn Gray. It perfectly matches the black interior. I cant take my eyes of it. Sorry wife . My wife and I and our 4 kids all love it very much.

  • Finally Decided on a Van - 2011 Toyota Sienna

Time to replace 6 year old Minivan for our family of 5. Dont care what other people perceive as Cool or Not so without question we were getting another Mvan. Comfort, convenience, Space and Efficiency all trump any stigma from others. Waited until the new Sienna, Odyssey and the Quest came out to decide and needing an 8 pax for that occasion when one of our kids brings three friends along, the Quest was out. Hours of websearch and extended Drives of each, we decided on the Sienna SE. We loved our Odyssey, but cant get past the new exterior so we got the Sienna. It looks/drives Sporty and loaded with options, Bluetooth, backup camera, moonroof etc; were very, very satisfied.

Have had the vehicle 5 weeks and logged almost 1,000 miles. Very quiet cabin and tons of get-up-and-go. Fuel economy so far is about 17 mpg, after about 95% in city driving. Seating flexibility is great in general. Hard plastics feel a little cheap (especially for $32,000) but overall fit-and-finish very good. Generally very pleased with our first-ever Toyota. A few surprising features missing or poorly executed however: A mast antenna? Really? Go with a roof- top shark fin, even base Hyundais have them. Turn signals should incorporate a "3-blink lane change" feature. 8-way power driver seat but no power for the front passenger? Move the headlight switch to the dash please & add auto on/off.

  • Nice van - 2011 Toyota Sienna

Weve owned this vehicle for about a month and have put 1,600 miles on the car. Although its still weird for us to acknowledge that were mini-van owners, we have come to love the van (and so have our kids) in the short time that weve had it. The car is a delight to drive. Its steering is a little light, but otherwise has excellent handling and gets decent highway mileage for a big vehicle (averaging 24-26 mpg doing about 70-75 mph). Perhaps most importantly, our young boys love their separate captains chairs, rear entertainment system, and ease of getting in and out of the car. Will update the review in several months, but right now cant say enough about this van!

  • Its not all gravy - 2011 Toyota Sienna

First, lets get the good out of the way. The van is very good to look at, has ample power and is relatively comfortable. However, there are some decisions made by Toyota that boggles the mind. Though the sunroof glass is 20 inches, you only get an 8 inch opening when its FULLY retracted! Ridiculous!! Unless you are a small person, the armrests are not long enough and are too thin. The footrest for your left leg is once again extremely small. My size 10 feet would not fit flatly without touching a bulge down there somewhere. General quality is also not what i expect from a Toyota. A couple of interior panels are not lined up correctly. There is also cheap looking plastic parts everywhere.

We had a 2006 Honda EXL prior to this. Before that we had 3 Chrysler vans. This is by far the best minivan we have owned! Honda steering and brakes do not measure up to this Toyota.

  • Vantastic - 2011 Toyota Sienna

This van is just great. Acceleration is very surprising for a minivan. Handling is great too. The ride is like a jetliner, very smooth. My kids love it too and want to always ride in it. The satellite radio is fun with lots of choices. Best thing has to be the hands-free Bluetooth connected to my phone. It automatically connects when I get in the car and will lower the radio and ring over the speakers when there is an inbound call. That, combined with the steering wheel controls could make it the best safety feature out there. We DID NOT get the RES or NAV. You dont need it. Kids are happy just watching out the window and talking to you or listening to the radio. Rear-backup camera: awesome

  • Good Buy - 2011 Toyota Sienna

We decided to purchase the 2011 XLE instead of the new Odyssey strictly because of the exterior Design. Overall the van is a great buy with a a few minor needed improvements.
