This Year's Model Updates:

The Sienna has been completely redesigned for 2004. Roomier and more powerful than before, Toyota's minivan entry now has the all-important fold-flat third-row seat, as well as a choice of seven- or eight-passenger seating (on lower level trims) and available all-wheel drive.

Pros:
  • Reliable Camry genes, refined V6, fold-flat 60/40 third-row seat, seven- and eight-passenger seating configurations, available all-wheel drive.
Cons:

My 7th mini van in 8 years and by far the best. The purchasing experience was pleasant. I like it enough to keep for 2 years rather than hold it for just one year.

  • First a Previa, now a Sienna - 2004 Toyota Sienna

We have only had our Sienna for a month. We still have our 1992 Previa, which weve been really happy with. My sister purchased a 2000 Sienna, but we have held off since the last-generation Sienna was (at least subjectively) smaller than the Previa. The new (2003/2004) Sienna feels larger than either the old Sienna or Previa. The power of the 240 hp Sienna feels much more adequate than the 140 Previa. It seems to be built with the expected Toyota quality. Overall, were very pleased.

  • Whats not to love?? - 2004 Toyota Sienna

OK, so we only have 4000 miles so far on the van, but they have been great miles. This is our first van, so we really did our due diligence in shopping around; naturally we kept coming back to the Sienna. I am an automotive technician (ASE Undercar) so I know how reliable Toyotas are. The 2004 Sienna does not disappoint.

  • A very Surprising revelation - 2004 Toyota Sienna

After driving Hondas for almost 20 years, I had my mind focused on a Honda Odyssey. I was a little reluctant to consider a different brand. So, first, we went out and test drove the Honda Odyssey. One of my local Honda dealers was kind enough to allow us to keep one for a day. As expected, it was a very nice van and the dealer was willing to give a big discount. The next day, we went straight to the Toyota dealer. Unfortunately, they werent willing to let us keep one overnight and pricing was very firm. However, we took it on a long test drive and were amazed at the improvements! To make a long story short, we bought the Sienna XLE and love it.

  • Fun to Efficiency - A Superb Vehicle - 2004 Toyota Sienna

After extesive testing and research I have decided that the new sienna outperforms all other minivans in every possible dimension. It is drives very well, is very responsive and has tight control - you must take it on a test drive if you are thinking on buying a minivan. It is surprisingly quiet at high speeds. The safety options are reasonably prices. It is very roomy inside yet not too bulgy on the outside. It is more confortable than a suburban (with 8 seats) yet does 70% more miles per gallon and is much safer. It beats the Honda in every dimension. The seats are easy to fold.

Excellent vehicle. Somewhat disappointed though with noise level at highway speeds.

  • Very Good Minivan - 2004 Toyota Sienna

Purchased the new Sienna two weeks ago. Considered the new Quest and the Hondas. The Sienna has a very responsive engine. Lots of storage compartments. 8 seater is a plus when relatives visit us. It replaces a Windstar we had. Much better vehicle than Fords.

  • LOVE THIS VAN! - 2004 Toyota Sienna

I absolutely love this van! The trunk is huge and the backseats are so easy to fold down by myself and Im on the small side.I did have to have the gas tank replaced (recall) but that was easy and they filled the tank when they were done (it was about half full when I took it in). My kids love the ease of getting in and out. The ride is excellent and quiet. The surround sound is awesome, but so is turning it off! :) Sonar and laser cruise control are very easy to use and turn off if needed. This is my 5th vehicle (2nd minivan) and Ive never loved one more than this one!
