Overview & Reviews
The Sienna has been completely redesigned for 2004. Roomier and more powerful than before, Toyota's minivan entry now has the all-important fold-flat third-row seat, as well as a choice of seven- or eight-passenger seating (on lower level trims) and available all-wheel drive.
- Reliable Camry genes, refined V6, fold-flat 60/40 third-row seat, seven- and eight-passenger seating configurations, available all-wheel drive.

The good & Bad - 2004 Toyota Sienna
By Mini-Van Guy - December 13 - 10:00 amDrove Quest, Odyssey, T&C, Pilot, MDX and Pacifica before waiting 2 mths and paying sticker for Sienna. Purchased for design and available safety package #12. The flexibility is great with children and the visability promotes safe driving. Love vehicle but dissapointed in initial quality. Four visits to dealer for loose belts, mounts, plastic rattles, speakers vibrate and most recently a thumping from front end.

Run Flats - 2004 Toyota Sienna
By Tom - December 9 - 3:40 amRun Flat tires come standard on this vehicle. Unfortunately this is the worst type of option that toyota could put on this type vehicle. I already have changed the tires twice. I am on my third set of tires. Toyota is aware of the problem but apparently continues to retrofit even the current 2007-07 models with the run flat tires. The sienna awd xle can be equiped with conventional tires and a spare tire conversion kit but if the consumer opts for this it is at his expense and he loses the ability to fold down the third row seat.

Review after 7500 miles in 10 months - 2004 Toyota Sienna
By mkousen - December 7 - 10:00 amI purchased this minivan because of its ride and 4 wheel drive. Honda could not match either requirement. The support has been quite good, but I am displeased with the lack of power/response both in city and on the road. The city gas milage is 13 mpg and I get 21 on the road. The car keeps down shifting out of 5th gear every time I reach a mild grade when the car is set at 70 mph. Very annoying! This does not happen at 63 mph, so it is related to a lack of power. If I maintain 63 mph, the mpg goes up to 22-23 mpg. However, the turnpike speed is 65. I suspect the decreased power is related to the AWD and probably is bette

okay, but dont get too excited - 2004 Toyota Sienna
By no_more_sugar - December 7 - 10:00 amConsidering it is a minivan, it looks and feels good. it has plenty cargo/passenger space and plenty cup holders. it is built for family usage, so dont expect any excitement from driving it. I wanted to get leather seatings, but they were only available in XLE model.

This car drives me nuts! - 2004 Toyota Sienna
By nurse - October 26 - 10:00 amI was so excited to get this car after ten years with my Nissan Quest. But, despite some fabulous features, like the rear seats that fold flush with the floor and the great fuel economy, I am trading it in this weekend. The automatically locking doors that cant be disarmed even tho the dealer said they could, the keys that cant be copied at a hardware store--you have to go to the dealer and pay $100 for a NON- REMOTE key, the hubcaps that keep popping off, the rear hatch that has no place to open manually--you must do it from the front doors or the remote key, which we lost and I will NOT pay $300 to replace--just a few of the things that tick me off.

Just Bought Over the Odyssey - 2004 Toyota Sienna
By ColoradoMom - October 12 - 10:00 amWe were in the market for a minivan. We worked with both Odyssey and Sienna. The Honda dealer in Colorado Springs still has the smug "Honda Odyssey" attitude, and were not willing to budge off MSRP for a 2003 Honda. The Sienna has many more features and a year newer. The Honda dealer treated us so poorly, we went back to the Toyota dealer and ordered a Sienna (none on the lot for sale). Skip the Odyssey, they need to realize they arent the top dog anymore.

Traction Control is a Poor Performer - 2004 Toyota Sienna
By rockgj - September 24 - 2:00 amGreat interior space and comfort, fair exterior style. A terrible performer in the snow. If you need a vehicle that moves you through, dont get the FWD, try the AWD model.

Perfection? - 2004 Toyota Sienna
By jr_fan - August 30 - 10:00 amThis is our second Sienna. The 2004 shows that Toyota had done their homework and built a mini-van that is very liveable. We owned a 1998 Sienna and I can tell you that we do not miss it one bit. I do wish that we had purchased the DVD player for our kids.

Trade-in had some Trade-offs - 2004 Toyota Sienna
By Paul in LA - June 30 - 2:00 amWe traded in our 2001 Toyota Sienna for a 2004 model. It is very clear that Toyotas goal was to make it more functional, but keep the costs down. We paid less for our 2004, and the design improvements made it a great value. However, the level of workmanship seems to have suffered a bit. We gained a few bells and whistles, but gave up a few others. If I had it to do over again, I would have waited until the package we wanted became available (DVD, power outlets, chrome wheels, etc.). Overall, I am happy with the purchase decision.

Love It - 2004 Toyota Sienna
By t schulze - June 15 - 1:23 pmIm a a person that vowed never to own a minivan but 3 kids later I went for it. The Sienna is the best car Ive had. The interior space is great and really have had no problems, just regular maintenance and tires. Brakes were need at 50k but that is to be expected. We have a large tent trailer we tow and it pulls like a dream (we got the tow package). The only thing I would improve is the underside clearance. When towing (and even when not), you need to be aware of the clearance. It rides very low and you can bottom out if your not careful. Ive heard all minivans are like this though.
