Overview & Reviews
The Sienna has been completely redesigned for 2004. Roomier and more powerful than before, Toyota's minivan entry now has the all-important fold-flat third-row seat, as well as a choice of seven- or eight-passenger seating (on lower level trims) and available all-wheel drive.
- Reliable Camry genes, refined V6, fold-flat 60/40 third-row seat, seven- and eight-passenger seating configurations, available all-wheel drive.

A Low Down Minivan - 2004 Toyota Sienna
By Robert L. Turner - January 8 - 10:00 amThe car is a quiet, safe, reliable, very comfortable vehicle, however, advertising it as having a "towing package" is disengenuous at best. The hitch is barely 8" above the pavement. With no trailer attached and four people aboard, the receiver contacted the pavement when exiting my garage and had to be removed. The worst part is that Toyota seems to be in denial. In answer to my questions about trailer towing, they send me copies of the owners manual. Not at all what I expected from a world class company! The car also downshifts on the slightest grade. The transmission is smooth, so it isnt too noticable, but for 230 horsepower?

Good family hauler - 2004 Toyota Sienna
By Ray - December 1 - 12:10 amI have owned my Sienna for less than a year, yet have already discovered this vans virtues. It is very much the Camry of minivans: it is not a particularly exciting or involving vehicle to drive, but it gets you and 6 friends from point A to point B with little fuss. The drivetrain is refined and ride comfort is very good. All the vehicles controls are simple to operate, and interior space is excellent. So far, Ive averaged 9.5L/100km (25mpg) in mixed city/hwy driving, which is better than some 4cyl cars. I cant really comment on long-term reliability, but I havent encountered any problems yet with the van. Overall, its a very practical vehicle to own, albeit not a very inspiring one.

2004 Toyota Sienna XLE - 2004 Toyota Sienna
By Robert - November 15 - 9:43 pmOnly complaint now is the tire noise. Hated the Run Flats and replaced them at 19,000 which meant I had to buy a new wheel. Toyota refunded all my cost. Wish I could see better to back up, bought a $100 back up camera and fixed that prob. Middle row seats are heavy to remove and should fold flat into frame but are manageable as is. All in all I really like the car. The AWD is important to me as our driveway is steep and snow makes it hard to navigate. Passengers have told me middle row seats are uncomfortable with lump in low back.

Interior Improvments Needed! - 2004 Toyota Sienna
By Mike Patock - September 15 - 12:30 amVehicle is great except the the build quality of the interior. It looks great, but it rattles, creaks and moans. Certainly didnt expect that in a Toyota.

RUN FLAT TIRES - 2004 Toyota Sienna
By Virginia L Palik - September 1 - 9:13 pmGood car, lousy tires. At 10,000 miles, run flat tires are shot. Cost $1,300.00 to replace. Toyota will give you one replacement free but what happens after the next 10,000 miles? We have to shell out $1,300.00 for another set of tires. TOYOTA NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING MORE.

Great Van! - 2004 Toyota Sienna
By oscano - July 26 - 2:00 amI bought my van from a local dealer at about 1700 less than MSRP. No hassles at all. The only problem Ive had was the alignment was slightly off, but the dealership fixed it right away and gave me a rental while it was in the shop. Otherwise the van is great. This is my first experience with a mini-van and so far I am very satisfied. I especially love the 60/40 third row seat and all the room behind it when it is up and in use. The engine is quiet and smooth. It has a little more road noise than I expected but it isnt that bad. The drivers seat has a manual height adjustment, which is great.

a toyota for this? - 2004 Toyota Sienna
By caught up in hype - June 2 - 10:00 amOur family bought the Toyota based on their reputation for quality and reliability. Big mistake. We have owned the car for about a year and a half and have had to have the power door replaced( 3 weeks in, and 2 rental cars), the gas tank replaced, along with numerous trim peices, and lots of rattles. The transmission also hesitates a moment between gears(2 other Toyotas Ive driven do this also). The good things: the power, the MPG(25 @80 MPH), the turning radius, and the DEEP cargo well in back. Finally: do your research, and beware of the salesman. We got ripped off at the dealer. PEOPLE BUY TOYOTAS FOR THIS?

Not comfortable for the larger driver - 2004 Toyota Sienna
By finartlvr - May 7 - 2:00 amThe drivers seat is uncomfortable and the steering wheel sits too low, even in the up position. The seats were built for small/average drivers and do not fit an average/large driver comfortability There is trouble with the driver side window motor, so beware

Sienna LE should have power back door - 2004 Toyota Sienna
By chokdee - March 3 - 10:00 amWith 2 kids and a growing family, 2004 Sienna fits perfectly. The ride is very smooth and quiet. The engine is so powerful. It would be great if the LE comes with both power sliding doors and power back door. There should be an alarm when the headlights are on when the ignition key is removed.
