This Year's Model Updates:

The Sequoia is virtually unchanged for 2002. SR5 models have two additional stand-alone options this year: keyless remote and front foglamps.

Pros:
  • Ultra-refined drivetrain, surprisingly agile handling, versatile and comfortable interior, impeccable build quality.
Cons:
  • Non-descript styling, comparably low towing capacity.

This is one big SUV! Toyota makes a great product. When deciding between the Ford Expidition, Yukon, and the Suburban there was no comparison. The build quality, resell value, and overall comfort won out.

  • THIS is how to go on an Expedition! - 2002 Toyota Sequoia

The Tahoe has very comfortable seats, but I couldnt enjoy them over the racket the brand new demos interior made. Ive logged thousands of miles renting Expys, and they just arent fun to drive. The price difference was worth it, and I havent had a moments remorse. Funny, nobody else driving a 2wd in snow has anything but praise for the Seqs ability. One must learn how to drive this new technology, however. Dont expect it to be like anything else.

  • It drives like a car - 2002 Toyota Sequoia

We did not have to take long to decide, the look is appealing form the outside, certainly much nicer that others in the same class. The inside is without question the best in class, comfortable and spacious. We then went on a test drive,it drives more like a car that a SUV, the responce from the engine when given a little throttle is exciting, you throw it into a corner and it sits on the road without that feeling of we are going to tip over. You must test drive this exciting vehicle.

  • priced better than a Land Cruiser - 2002 Toyota Sequoia

i love my sequoia. i test drove several other suvs and found the sequoia to be the best ride, best looking and most luxurious with a third seat. i was very suprised initially when i was told i could get this ride under $40K!! i have recommended this truck to others and one has bought so far. go drive by a ford or chevy dealership and see how many exp/tahoes they have on the lot. toyota cant keep sequoias on their lots. they are the best suvs on the planet!!

  • Wow !! This thing continues to amaze - 2002 Toyota Sequoia

We at all the SportUtes and bought the Sequoia. Recently sold a Chev product & had nothing but troubles with the build quality, ride & mechs. Wanted another but were wary. The Ford products were about the same. We like the features, reputation & build quality. No leather & sunroof. We did get the alloy package & the dual climate control. The dealer dealings were a breeze, no trade-in, had our own loan lined up and "stole" in for about $3,800.00 under list. At the time dealers were getting $1000 + mark up over sticker. Weve had it 14 months & even with higher gas prices we still love the vehicle. No problems. Its a Toyota...

  • Best in its class - by far - 2002 Toyota Sequoia

What a phenomenal vehicle! All Expedition/Tahoe/Suburban shoppers do yourselves a favor and test drive the Sequoia. The differences will be glaringly obvious including the interior features, the convenience and placement of the dashboard knobs/buttons, the purr of the V8 engine and the sleek exterior design.

  • absolutely satisfied - 2002 Toyota Sequoia

Ive owned a Land Cruiser, a Range Rover, a Discovery, and 2 Dodge trucks previously and find myself extremely satisfied with the Sequoia. For a full size SUV, its the best value for the money considering all factors.

To date we have no second thoughts about our choice to buy the Sequoia. It has lived up to every expectation we had. We intially wanted a smaller SUV but once we were exposed to the Sequoia there really wasnt any other choice.

  • GREAT SUV - 2002 Toyota Sequoia

If you have a little bit more to spare, why not go for the best one...The Sequioa is definitely better than the Suburban, Expedition, Escalade..you name it. I had mine for 18 months now and still feels like its brand new.
