The only negative I have with my RAV is the roof rack, its a real pita when it comes to washing the car. Were it an option I would have opted out!

  • The Greatest SUV - 2006 Toyota RAV4

I would really recommend this car to just about anyone. Its comfortable, fuel efficient, especially for a 4 wheel drive, and it looks great. It comes with great standard features like the mp3 player plug in. If you are looking for a reliable, fun car, this is it.

  • Happily hooked on RAV4s - 2006 Toyota RAV4

This is my 2nd RAV4 and I absolutely love it!! Ive had it for 2 wks now. I had my first one for 6 yrs with no problems. This new RAV4 gives me what I didnt have in the 1st...its a much quieter ride, its bigger without being too big for manuverability, and it has more muscle in its 4cyl engine while still being more fuel efficient than some other SUVs. The durability and reliability I have had with my 1st RAV4 made the decision to buy another very easy, along with it having such a great, new "grown-up" look. It definitely has everything I loved about my 1st RAV4, and fixed most of the little things I felt needed improvement.

  • Toyota hit a homerun with the RAV4 - 2006 Toyota RAV4

We bought our loaded v6 AWD limited on the basis of some good reviews from reputable auto mags. Those reviews still ring true today, four years after our purchase. The 269 HP AWD version possesses a very sporty driving experience. It handles mountain roads with ease, zipping through corners like a much lower sedan. In straightaway acceleration, it gives performance cars a run for their money. Hardly worth mentioning the very minor repairs over our ownership run. Certainly far less than similar vehicles. Excellent build quality, including exceptional paint and interior materials. You cannot go wrong with the RAV4.

  • Beats the competition - 2006 Toyota RAV4

This vehicle is fun to drive and has loads of power, almost too much for the front wheel drive when accelerating quickly. The ride is very firm and tight. It is roomier than most of the competition and gets the best gas mileage. I have the Sport V6. I average 23 in town and 27 on the highway. I just returned from a long trip driving it totally loaded with 4 people, luggage, etc., and averaged over 26 mpg. Recommend test driving this vehicle after checking out all the rest.

  • Nice little SUV, but... - 2006 Toyota RAV4

Ive had my RAV4 for about a month and really enjoy it. Its fun to drive and the 269hp V6 is really peppy with great acceleration when necessary, like when entering the turnpike. I chose this car because I think Toyota makes a great product (this is my 5th Toyota in 19 years), and reliability is always at the top of my list when choosing a car, as I drive a lot. The engine is louder that in my Camry, although not to the point that its really annoying. I love the dual glove boxes and the below floor storage area. Steering is tight, as I prefer it, and the JBL audio system is great. The brakes are very responsive but need more foot pressure than I had expected. Overall, its a nice, small SUV.

  • Happy to have a Toyota - 2006 Toyota RAV4

I just bought a 2006 RAV4. While I have not had it that long, I am very happy with this vehicle.I was surprised at the great deal I received. I also looked at many, many other small SUVs, but not one could beat the price and value of the RAV4, even with the the massive rebates offered by the other companies. I couldnt find any that had better gas mileage. Also, the resale/trade-in value is better than most other vehicles. If I were to say anything negative it would be that the back seat does not look like it could fit three comfortably. The middle seatback actually folds down to become an armrest and cupholder. I sat there, and it doesnt feel too uncomfortable. The bench seat itself has a ton of room and reclines.

  • Awesome SUV - Go Toyota! - 2006 Toyota RAV4

Vehicle is brand new and I absolutely am loving it. I have wanted a RAV4 for a very long time, and since the redesign for 2006 I had to test drive it and thats all it took. The "SPORT" is the way to go w/18" tires. You give up the power driver seat & 3rd row seating but its a much better driving experience. Now my 1999 Camry is very jealous!

  • High end SUV at mid range price - 2006 Toyota RAV4

Vehicle handles well and feels solid. Cabin is well designed (other than cup holders and LED clock). Plenty of storage space and room for rear seat passengers. Fuel consumption beats all competition and with the V6, this vehicle has more power and better acceleration than many other vehicles on the road.

Absolutely love the vehicle. It is almost as big as the Highlander but with more power and better fuel economy.
