Identity Crisis - 2004 Toyota Matrix
By redpill - September 4 - 10:00 amBasically I love my new Matrix, will you? Who knows! I can say that you will at least love a few things that it does, and maybe even hate a few. It does almost everything you would like a car to do and more. Not a bad deal for 20,000!

I love this car! - 2004 Toyota Matrix
By thomas144 - August 22 - 2:00 amIve never owned a car I was so crazy about. Fun to drive. Great ride. Plenty of power. Practical. My only minor complaint is that for a car with tons of headroom, the rear hatch doesnt quite raise up high enough, and I have a tendency to hit my head on it. I went to the dealership expecting to buy a Highlander, but didnt like it after 2 test drives, so I tried a Matrix on a whim and I loved it from the start.

I love it! - 2004 Toyota Matrix
By Reynolds853 - July 11 - 2:00 amI havent given this car a second thought since buying it, which is EXACTLY what I wanted. Its easy to drive, gets good mileage, u-turns on city streets are no problem, and with the rear seats folded down it can hold my bicycle without taking the wheels off. Fold down the front seat, and you can fit all that stuff you bought at Home Depot. I also like the driving position - you sit up higher than in other compact wagons. The seats are tall, like in a minivan, which gives you much better visability in traffic. Visability out the back is compromised by the narrow windows back there, but once youre used to it, its not a problem.

Good car from Toyota - 2004 Toyota Matrix
By turkf26 - June 6 - 1:03 amAll in all the Toyota matrix is a great car to drive. Couple things I dislike is the lack of power in the XR and base models. Also it seems that everything inside the car squeaks or rattles when you drive. Other than that, itÂ’s a great car made by another great company.

Excellent All Around Car - 2004 Toyota Matrix
By MundschauJ - April 10 - 2:00 amIve had the car more than 1 year. Mileage averages around 35mpg on combined city and highway. The build quality is excellent as expected. One complaint however. The AC stopped working for about 2 hours one day while on a long drive with customers in the car. After parking for about 3 hours the AC worked fine and never stopped again. Other than that, extremely versatile and the best car Ive ever owned. Ive had cars that were more fun to drive, like a VR6 VW, and a Jeep Wrangler, but neither beats the overall usefullness and dependability of this Matrix.

2 For the Road - 2004 Toyota Matrix
By Cactus Buckeye - February 27 - 2:00 amWe bought 2! 2000 4Runner lease up & air went out on 1993 Escort ~ had to get 2 vehicles. "Sacrifice" coming down from 4Runner, "Plus" coming up from Escort. Bottom line, a happy medium & long term - Toyota dependability.

Nat bad for the money - 2004 Toyota Matrix
By barlo - December 22 - 10:00 amThis is a very good car for the money. Handling ist bad. Good pick up with the 5 speed. Not bad looking inside and out. When the back seats are down, it has almost as much if not more cargo room than some mid sized SUVs. Plenty of passenger room in back seat. Their knees wont hit the back of the front seat. For the money and compared to whats out there. You wont find better. And its a Toyota.

"shut up and drive" - 2004 Toyota Matrix
By Croger - December 3 - 2:00 amFun to drive, great head/leg/cargo room, excellent gas mileage. A little "squirrly" with strong cross- winds, and when being passed by big rigs, but otherwise handles well.
