A nice car with a good fuel economy, (rated top 10 in fuel economy, including hybrids) a lot of interrior storage and adequate trunk space.

We have over 100,000 miles on our Echo and still have the same spark plugs, coolant, battery, clutch...everything except 2 sets of tires and 1 set of brakes. Never had a minutes trouble out of this car, it still drives as well as the day we boughht it new and the fuel economy is awesome. We will definitely by another Echo in 2 years. YOU CANNOT GO WRONG WITH THIS CAR!

  • Great car, great mpg, great value - 2004 Toyota Echo

After having SUVs, my concern was being able to haul stuff around. With the folding rear seats, Im still able to haul 2X4s and other home improvement items. Great gas mileage (remember the SUVs). It feels much larger on the inside that what you would think. My husband is 64" and has plenty of head/leg room. We also have had 4 plus size people inside and still lots of room. Ive found I can fit more into the trunk than I could in the "trunk" of my Jeep Liberty. I would recommend this car to anyone. It is a great value.

  • An ECHO to shout about! - 2004 Toyota Echo

This is my 9th vehicle in 20 years of driving, and I must say, it is the BEST one so far. I am a TOYOTA convert thanks to my ECHO, with build quality better than a $40k Caddy....lol

  • Hot! Pocket Rocket - 2004 Toyota Echo

Excellent fuel economy, great performance, agile and fun to drive. For the size, has exceptional comfort. Needs more available options. I could have bought any car I desired. I tested everything from a Camry down and chose the Echo because its just so fun to drive and to cute to ignore.

  • Best little darn car ever! - 2004 Toyota Echo

A great little car... wonderful on the highway.. perfect in the city.. able to park anywhere with ease... just the best for the price. I love my Echo.. and would like it better if some of the fancy stuff was upgraded.

Its nimble and fun to drive....you actually have to drive it...it doesnt go 80 mph unless you have put it there. Bit difficult if you have to go up a mountain.... good in snow.

  • My puddle skipper - 2004 Toyota Echo

I have had this puddle skipper for 3 years. We purchased it when they first came out. I must say other than the interior a bit small we have had no problems with it. We now have over 75000 miles and it still runs great. A great little car for a kid thats off to college or for a fuel minded person. It even is ok on 500 mile trips for 3 people. We have done it with 4 but thats kinda tight.

  • Good CARS! - 2004 Toyota Echo

Great cars but seem to be made of cheap plastic on the inside!

  • Echo 2001 - 2004 Toyota Echo
    By -

Actually my Echo is a 2001 that I bough new 3 years ago. The car was bought mainly as a work car but have been so pleased with it that I use it for everything. Have just under 80K miles and still get 40 to 41 mpg overall. I drive the car hard and usually go at least 7 to 8K miles before oil changes and have never been able to stick to recommended maint. schedule. Even so, the car still runs as smoothly and nice as the day I bought it. When idling its impossible to hear the motor from inside and most people swear its not running at all. The ONLY problem Ive had so far has been a burned out tail light bulb.
