Overview & Reviews
There are no significant changes to the 2006 Toyota Corolla, although new SAE testing procedures have resulted in lower horsepower ratings.
- High-quality and roomy interior, outstanding gas mileage and crash test scores, long list of safety features, illustrious reliability record.
- Awkward driver-seat position, bland on-road personality, gets pricey even when equipped with just the basics.

Great compact car - 2006 Toyota Corolla
By Kathleen36 - September 15 - 5:50 pmDrives very smooth and after 6000 rpms speeds up quite a bit. Its easy to park and has a nice interior for a cheaper compact car. Overall, I love driving it and havent had a single problem so far!

Great car! - 2006 Toyota Corolla
By Mike - September 9 - 4:23 amBought new Oct 2006. Now have 13,500 miles on it. Zero problems. Extremely quiet, very little motor or wind noise. So quiet you tend to speed. Great, honest gas mileage. Freeway at 75 mph I get 34 - 36. Combined city and highway at lower speeds I get 36 - 38. Comfortable seating but "wings" on drivers seat dig into my back; could be softer. Steering wheel too far away!! Im 62" and have my seat pushed back. Good ride, especially on highway. My only complaint is that the Bridgestone tires are very noisy on coarse pavement. Big trunk, roomy backseat for a small car. The LE is nicely appointed, a mini "luxury" car. Its a great car for the money.

Perfect first car - 2006 Toyota Corolla
By tu2010 - August 28 - 5:50 amBought this car used last year as my first car and love every minute driving it. Its a fun little car to drive with a peppy gas pedal. Very comfortable, spacious, gas mileage is not as great(30mpg). Had many near accidents and the brakes saved my life. I drive very rough with this car but hasnt fallen apart yet. I get a lot of compliments on the color. (Its light green)Plan to have it for the next 6-7 years. Would definitely recommend this to ALL college students or anyones choice for their first car.

Corolla CE was a great choice - 2006 Toyota Corolla
By Braswells - July 8 - 7:36 amOther than the drivers side side mirrors having blind spots I really love this car. I get 32-35 mpg. Had to replace a belt at 35000 miles. No other problems. This car is as simple as it gets but parts not there wont cause trouble. It wont win any races and if you dont mind not to have power doors or windows and can drive a standard, this could be a great car for you.

Love this car! - 2006 Toyota Corolla
By Jack Herbon - July 3 - 6:26 amI purchased my Toyota Corolla in September 2005. I chose the silver mica color and have no regrets. This color always looks clean even during the winter. I wanted a car with real good gas mileage and the Corolla has not disappointed me once bit! If your looking for a car that will not eat into your wallet then make sure you check out this car. Very fun to drive and good pickup.

Stylish and Fun! - 2006 Toyota Corolla
By Rhonda in H.B. - May 28 - 7:53 pmWe love the fuel mileage on our new S series. My teenagers love it and are fighting over whos going to inherrit it. It handles well, is easy to drive, and the price was excellent. I parked my Dodge Ram which was getting 10.5 mpg @ $3.49 per gallon Diesel. The way I see it, what I save on fuel alone will make my new payment. I am very happy with my decision.

Love my baby! - 2006 Toyota Corolla
By roziekitty - May 14 - 5:20 pmTraded in my Chrysler Cirrus and I loved that car. Didnt take long to love the Corolla. Ride not as smooth at the Cirrus and some of the luxury features are not there...but the other things have made up for it. MPG, temperature gauge and I like the simplicity of the inside controls. I am glad I bought it and have no regrets so far. I only have 108 miles on it!

2006 Toyota Corolla LE - 2006 Toyota Corolla
By K - April 14 - 5:06 pmI love my 2006 Toyota Corolla LE. It has never given me any problems. Only routine maintenance. I love the great fuel economy especially because of high fuel costs. It also handles much better than even the Mustang. My Corolla handles better at 100mph that the Mustang at 75. I love my car and was glad I invested in it
