Overview & Reviews
There are no significant changes to the 2006 Toyota Corolla, although new SAE testing procedures have resulted in lower horsepower ratings.
- High-quality and roomy interior, outstanding gas mileage and crash test scores, long list of safety features, illustrious reliability record.
- Awkward driver-seat position, bland on-road personality, gets pricey even when equipped with just the basics.

LOVE My Corolla - 2006 Toyota Corolla
By sandy - February 8 - 7:50 pmWe bought our Corolla 3 years ago and it works just as well as the day we bought it, despite having 64 000 km on it! The cost of the corolla is similar to American made vehicles but the quality is far better. I would highly recommend one.

Its OK - 2006 Toyota Corolla
By 2 hour/day commute - December 3 - 12:06 amI commute 2 hours per day. The car does well in snow, especially considering how light weight it is. The only reason I am considering trading it is that with 50,000 miles, I can still get payoff for a trade in. You cant say that about many cars these days.

Cant beat the gas mileage for the price. - 2006 Toyota Corolla
By Jon - September 1 - 8:46 amJust bought a new 06 Corolla CE, auto, pwr locks/windows & mirrors, I have 750 miles on it, gas mileage is great, 37mpg on second tank. May pick up some after break-in? More than doubled my Silverado mpg.

Great but.............. - 2006 Toyota Corolla
By OhwhatUdotome - January 26 - 12:46 amSo far after 1700 miles I only HATE 2 things. 1. The pedals for gas/brake/shifting were designed only for people with size 5 or smaller shoes. My Size 13s are constanly getting tangled in the tiny pedals. 2. Shifting into 2nd gear seems to be a challenge for this clutch as it tends to grind loudly unless the pedal is press extra hard to the floor when shifting. I would buy and automatic possibly but never a manual with this pedal dimensions and clutch.

Full Throttle - 2006 Toyota Corolla
By Yarrrr! - November 7 - 2:46 amFlawless car. Any time I think I hear a noise or think the car has changed in some way, its just me. It is amazing. Mine gets 39mpg on the highway (manual) and gets around 30 in town. Its great fun to wind it out once in a while through the gears. Absolutely amazing quality and efficiency. I love it!

Whoo! - 2006 Toyota Corolla
By Joey - July 28 - 2:56 pmGood reliable car with great gas mileage but driving this car needs to be more comfortable. Driving in the driver seat is not to comfortable. Gas, brake, and clutch pedals are to close together. Sometimes step on 2 pedals at once. But overall happy with this car. Dont have to put gas in this car all the time like the Mustang I had before. Nice & quiet ride and good power on the freeway. Able to pass lots of cars.

Good Value - 2006 Toyota Corolla
By Robert - July 7 - 12:16 pmTerrific for scooting around town. This is my first Toyota & Im very impressed. Exterior is sharp. Interior is clean and functional. No wind noise from sunroof. Civic is state of the art in compacts. Maint. schedule basically change oil & rotate tires every 5k miles, simple and low cost.

2006 Corolla CE, Cactus, 5-speed - 2006 Toyota Corolla
By Dean - April 12 - 2:46 amThis is an excellent little car. Its solid, built very well, looks good, gets great gas mileage and has a lot of space for a compact car. I would highly recommend this car to anyone who is not over 6 or 225 pounds. It is a compact car, and I believe large people would find it too small. Finding the right driving position will take some time, but once you find it you will feel comfortable. I changed my stock 185 Goodyear Integrity tires to 195 Yokahama Avid TRZ. This made a big difference in the ride and comfort.

Great Investment! - 2006 Toyota Corolla
By carmature - November 1 - 8:13 amI have this car for about a week now and I love it. Very conservative with gas usage. Simply chic is what I call it!... Nothing too fussy... gets you there from A to B in a comfortable way. Very affordable.

Excellent CAR - 2006 Toyota Corolla
By Arcanine - July 23 - 7:33 amThis car is great. It is great on the outside and ok on the inside... I wanted one with moonroof, but they are not available as easily as last year because of the gas prices. The mileage is great, and although it is not a sporty car you can count on its reliability.
