The Corolla promises to be a reliable, fuel efficient car. It is peppy, comfortable, with storage for everything within easy reach. The air vents provide more directional adjustment for heat and air. Two trip odometers, one for gas mileage and the other for actual trip length. No frills, nothing fancy, but I dont need all that. I need a comfortable, reliable car that wont cost a fortune to drive.

Ive only owned Toyotas and let me tell you that this is the best one yet. Reasonable pick up for the 4 cylinder engine, great looking interior (Leather not an option but I put leather in mine and it looks like a luxury car). Ground effects were a nice option as well as all the safety features (ABS, Side Air bags). Car feels solid, drives firm and holds its turns rather well. Dont miss out on this car, you will be very disappointed if you buy something without test driving this beauty.

My wife and I just graduated college and were looking for a cheap, reliable car. We got a great dealer rebate and with good credit, got outstanding financing. I would recommend this car to anyone whos in the same boat we are. Theres not much room in the back seat if youre a grown man, but I dont plan on riding in the back a whole lot because its a blast to drive.

Just an all around great car. Fun to drive, great fuel economy and extremely Reliable. Complaints to dealer since purchase is zero. Toyotas reputation is a definite plus. I have a 1992 Toyota Tercel in showroom condition. Runs like new. Id love to buy the new hybrid but cant until the Tercel dies, and I dont think thats ever gonna

  • WINDOWS AND GAS PIPE - 2004 Toyota Corolla

THE WINDOWS WHEN I ROLLED IT DOWN TO THE MIDDLE IT HAS A VERY LOOSE CLEARANCE BETWEEN SIDES, THIS IS WHEN YOU HOLD THE TOP OF THE GLASS AND MOVE IT SIDEWAYS, THE CLEARANCE IS ENORMOUSLY BIG LIKE 3/8 OF AN INCH 4 WINDOWS AS IF THE CHANNELINGS WERE LOOSE OR MIGHT BE SOMETHING ELSE....THE FUEL PIPE WHICH IS UNDER THE REAR LEFT FENDER IS ONLY PROTECTED BY A SMALL PIECE IF PLASTIC COVER, WHICH MIGHT HAVE A POTENTIALLY SERIOUS PROBLEM, COZ IF THE TIRE BURST (STEEL BELTED TIRES) AND HIT THE PLASTIC COVER THEN GAS PIPES GET CRACKED AND SOME FRICTION FROM THE STEEL BELTED TIRES, PRETTY SURE IT MAY BURST INTO FLAMES....

2004 Corolla CE manual, now with 241k-plus. replaced serpentine belt at 230k, oil changes every 3-6K. getting 30-45 mpg depending on traffic congestion, weather. O2 sensor code light on for 125k but am ignoring it. Agree that car is not stable, even dangerous in cross or diagonal winds and have been blown off road when windspeed exceeds 45 mph. Have had no major problems. Engine is now running rough until you get up to speed on interstate, but its a rough sound with no effect on acceleration, power. Had an 85 tercel that went 186k on 5 oil changes (irresponsible youth) and only died after lightning hit a BK roof and set it on fire, and a piece fell off onto the Tercel. True story.

  • A Lot of Car for the Money - 2004 Toyota Corolla

40 mpg, quiet, smooth, spacious, comfortable with impeccable highway manners that make it feel like a much larger car. Fit and finish are first rate and the amount of standard equipment included for $15K is phenomenal. Great back seat. Its not a sports car, but handling is more than adequate, with a smooth shifter and light, but not over responsive steering. As long as you dont drive near the limits, the Corolla goes where you point it and does so with aplomb. Given Toyotas reputation, I honestly dont know how you could get a better bargain than a 2004 Corolla.
