  • Cant go wrong with a Toyota - 2004 Toyota Corolla

If you want value and saftey with a sound ride and roominess to boot, then the Corolla is for you! No sense in trying the Toyota/GM Matrix/Vibe! Why spend the extra dough on looks? It gets worse gas milage, doesnt have any more usable room, and is half GM (need I say more). Go with reliability. Go with Toyota!

From fit and finish, to level of amenities, this is a great little car! Mother bought as a replacement to 1993 Camry. The leather interior is so upscale, and better done than many so called "luxury" vehicles. Wood trim and sunroof add to overall feeling of getting more than you paid for. And did I mention the incredible gas mileage?

  • Love my Corolla - 2004 Toyota Corolla

Loved the fact that we could purchase an American made vehicle with the quality of the Japanese name to back it. Everyone thinks that we paid a bundle, because of the name & it was, actually, very inexpensive compared to others in this category. The ride is beautifully smooth. Gas mileage is great!

The 5-speed is quick & gets great gas mileage, about 33mpg in suburban/city commute. I dont feel as confident blasting around curves as in my old Integra because this car is taller & it feels a little "tippy." Only complaint is a weird wind vibration when only the back windows are down. It will drive you mad! Lots of legroom & headroom for a tall person. I chose this car over a Honda Civic due to 1.9% financing & actually like the body styling better than the Honda. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an economical, stylish, dependable new car.

Nice, dependable car. Extremely fine fuel efficiency (about 35 MPG highway for me, 31 MPH in city). Feels solid. Spunky performance.

  • All in all AOK car - 2004 Toyota Corolla

Biggest gripe: the steering wheel is too close to the dash, so if I adjust the seat for leg comfort, I cant reach it. Make steering wheel telescopic!! Handling is very good, ride a little bumpy (well, its not a Camry). Exterior scratches very easily. My dogs ride comfortably. *Great* mileage. Did brakes/rotors at 50K, otherwise have done nothing but oil changes and it runs like a charm. Very reliable, which I love - I never have to worry about being stranded.

  • Comfort, quality and fuel-effiicent - 2004 Toyota Corolla

I kept reading all those reviews about what a good but dull car this is. Well, if comfort, quality, security and fuel-efficiency is boring, count me in. The fit and finish is tight, the drive is secure and the interior is laid out in an intuitive way. Its peppy enough and I find it pretty exciting not to be giving much money away to the oil companies and terrorist-sponsoring countries. When you add up what you get, its a pretty good value for the money (I got side air bags, automatic, ABS, cruise, upgraded CD player for $15,200.

  • First New Car - LOVE IT!! - 2004 Toyota Corolla
    By -

I just purchased a 2004 Corolla S and its my first new car and I love it. I have had 2 used 6 cylinder cars in my life and was a little worried that a 4 would be sluggish, but its not. It drives great, is fast and sharp and feels safe and secure. As far as style is really does look like the baby Lexus. I bought the light silver with the sports package and all the works and it really is a great car. Id recommend it to anyone. Plus for the price you a get a ton for your money.

  • Practical car for the dollar - 2004 Toyota Corolla
    By -

After researching many small cars (Civics, Aveo) I found the Corolla. First Toyota Ive owned. Great on gas mileage. Car is suppose to last as long as a Honda. The only complaint I have is the steering wheel is too far away. I have to keep the seat up close to reach the wheel. And Im only 59". Otherwise a good, practical car. Be cautious of Toyota dealers. They have a way of getting you a loan with a higher interest rate. Ask first what thier best offer is. A good dependable car is good, but if the financing is not, youll loose a lot of money over the long haul of a 5 year loan.
