This Year's Model Updates:

The 2003 Toyota Celica has been revised with freshened front and rear styling. In front, the Celica gets a new bumper and fascia with a wider upper air intake. Newly available high-intensity discharge (HID) headlights complement the car's advanced styling, and redesigned rear lights echo the projector-style look. Inside, Toyota has redesigned the center dash cluster for improved legibility and added a standard JBL audio system to the GT-S model. A power antenna is now standard on JBL-equipped models. Finally, you can get two new colors: Solar Yellow and Zephyr Blue Metallic.

Pros:
  • Radical styling, rev-happy GT-S engine, outstanding steering/braking/handling.

  • This Car Is FUN to Drive!! - 2003 Toyota Celica

What can I say? The very first Celica I saw, I wanted one. This car is fast, fun, and offers an incredible car for the money. I felt confident with the car because it is backed by Toyota reliability and good resale value, not only that, but the car itself handles excellently, takes turns like clockwork, has excellent brakes, and turns heads every time you step in it. Whats not to like?!

this cars packs a hugh punch. I love driving a sporty vehicle. The excitement of it all is rarely over whelming. My wife drives it more than me now. I keep getting stuck with the small SUV that we purchased a yer ago and I think Im about to trade it in and buy another Celica. This time, in black!

I had an accident the day I left the dealer ship. My vehicle... after pulling of the lot was totaled and I still retained 91% of its market value. Needless to say after my insurance paid off the car which was totaled, I purchase a new 2003 model just yesterday. vooooommmmmmmmmm......

This is what I have to say about these certain Topics: Fuel Economy: Excellent for a car of this style. A sport car style with great mileage. People will appreciate this car when gas prices shoot up. I get 33 mpg (mix highway/city). GTS model required premium gas. Performance: Under powered but thats alright, but that is the trade off for good mileage. GT model gets 140hp while the GTS gets 180hp. Either model is fun to drive. If you think 140hp GT sucks compared to the GTSs 180hp, keep in mind that the 2013 VW golf hybrid turbo makes 170hp.. GT or GTS is equally a great buy. But if you like the sound of "Lift" (similar sound to VTEC) get the GTS.

I was looking for a mid-life crisis car. looked at Mustangs but didnt trust Ford. Looked at Miatas and almost wnet that way. also checked out Eclipse. Toyota quality (Ive owned three) and the zip and pep of the Celica sold me. Fun and has some practicality as well.

  • TOYOTA CELICA BEATS THE COMPETITION - 2003 Toyota Celica

I have given this car 9s and 10s in the survey. The only design items I find poor are: 1. The location of the drivers seat belt. 2. The rear spoiler interferes with drivers ability see out the back window.

Very fun car, at first I bought an 2000 Acura Integra Type-R but I didnt like it despite its pure performance, I had bought my mom a 02 Celica GT-S Panasonic Edition and it felt so much better just to ride in that car and it had some good features. I do enjoy my 03 GT-S quite a bit, superb handling which is really important, unique look, great interior design and comfy fitting seats. It is an overpriced vehicle with lacking torque but in balance it has good resale value and reliability which is more important. A downside to this vehicle is the blind spots, I can no way see out of my left rear window..

  • Better than expected - 2003 Toyota Celica

We got this car for my wife. She is petite and wanted a sporty look and I wanted something safe with good gas mileage. This was the perfect balance. We have driven it all over northeast and even taken it camping. the boot space is terrific and can accomodate almost anything you need. gas mileage is almost 31/38. Braking is very good and it handles very well in snow and city Ice. We r in Buffalo, NY and u dont have a better place to test that. She loves the look and the drive I love the handling and utility. My Wife wants to keep it forever.

The performance of this car is great. Driving mountain roads in California it really feels solid. There are no unpleasant surprises in the handling that Ive encountered.
