This Year's Model Updates:

The 2003 Toyota Celica has been revised with freshened front and rear styling. In front, the Celica gets a new bumper and fascia with a wider upper air intake. Newly available high-intensity discharge (HID) headlights complement the car's advanced styling, and redesigned rear lights echo the projector-style look. Inside, Toyota has redesigned the center dash cluster for improved legibility and added a standard JBL audio system to the GT-S model. A power antenna is now standard on JBL-equipped models. Finally, you can get two new colors: Solar Yellow and Zephyr Blue Metallic.

Pros:
  • Radical styling, rev-happy GT-S engine, outstanding steering/braking/handling.

  • My little rocket pocket - 2003 Toyota Celica

I have had this car for 16 months. Has lots of power for a little engine car. Fuel efficient is decent. Handling and braking is simply awesome! The only bad thing is that it encourages me to drive faster than I normally would...and the insurance is out of this world.

  • The Little Car That Could... - 2003 Toyota Celica

Wasnt looking for a new car but my current Toyota SUV was almost paid off and was getting nervous about having all that extra money,so stoped at the Toyota Dealer and as you walked in there was a Dark Blue Celica. Love at first sight.Test drove the Acura RSX but didnt care for the interior materials or the instrument cluster. Considered the Hyundai but worried about the resale value. Thought about the Mazda6 but wanted to get away from the sedan look and wanted something under 20,000. Test drove it and loved everything about it. Got the Update package which has everything you could want in a sports car. Although have to admit I liked that Mazda6.

I bought my Celica in March of this year. I LOVE IT. This is the first foreign car I have bought, and I am now a convert. The handling is great, and it has plenty of get up and go.

This was my first brand spanking new car at 40yrs of age. I wanted a car that was sporty, yet economical. This car suits me fine since I am only 51". My children are all older so I really didnt care about the comfort of the backseat. We have taken it on many road trips, it is a bit cramped for my husband who is 59", but if I drive (which I always do) he can adjust and we always bring plenty of pillows. I do not regret for a moment buying this car since I do put about 27,000 miles/year on her, but she is holding up wonderfully even in the worst weather the Northeast has to offer. Thanks Toyota, I love my Celica :)

New Celica GTS w/ the Action Package. So far, very fun to drive. In just a few days Ive had numerable compliments. Im sure as it is a Toyota it will be little trouble. Fantastic value / fun per dollar. Eye- catching fun sports car with every option for about 25k. Cockpit position - everything is exactly where the driver needs it. The action package is very attractive and a great addition for the money. JBL sound system is very good. Handling and driving are very good, especially with the 16" wheels. As long as you arent expecting Mustang GT/V8 acceleration...

Ok, i went to the auto show and looked at the celica. i fell in love from across the room! i want the car so bad and im trying to get my dad to buy it. reviews are good and all that stuff--so so far so good. The last thing that would help me to buy it is some kind of a discount or offer...

  • Worth it - 2003 Toyota Celica

I got this car durning the spring break of 04. From the moment I sat down in it, I knew this was the car for me. Simpliy put the looks are amazing. The redesign of the tail lights is great. They look like the redded out verisons people have been buying. I have found that the power to be lacking alittle, but the way it handles turns you soon forget about that. I love this car and wouldnt trade it for anything else right now. Now stop reading this and go drive one. Not just a chicks car. A drivers car.

  • Perfect - 2003 Toyota Celica

This is my second car, my first was a Chrysler, nice but not too much fun. My Celica is awesome! Toyota has been very helpful, I have been in contact with Toyota USA France and Japan and they are all more than willing to help. I havent had any problems with it except a bus running into it but it just got some scratches which came out quite easially. This car is perfect! Well, one morning it was really cold and wouldnt start very easily but that was the only problem Ive ever had. I highly recomend it!

  • 2003 Celica GT - 11 Month Review - 2003 Toyota Celica
    By -

Ive had my 03 Celica GT for 11 months and I love it. Its a $20k car and not a $40k car..and for that $20 its sporty looking, fun to drive and very economical. There is a rattle in the sunroof, but I havent been able to leave it for a whole day at the dealership, so I just turn the stereo up. Im comfortable in the cabin (but long road trips are not recommended!). I especially like the hatchback feature. I use my car almost as a truck, but I prefer to drive a sporty car, so the Celica fits my needs perfectly. Overall Im very satisfied for a $20k car.
