This Year's Model Updates:

The 2003 Toyota Celica has been revised with freshened front and rear styling. In front, the Celica gets a new bumper and fascia with a wider upper air intake. Newly available high-intensity discharge (HID) headlights complement the car's advanced styling, and redesigned rear lights echo the projector-style look. Inside, Toyota has redesigned the center dash cluster for improved legibility and added a standard JBL audio system to the GT-S model. A power antenna is now standard on JBL-equipped models. Finally, you can get two new colors: Solar Yellow and Zephyr Blue Metallic.

Pros:
  • Radical styling, rev-happy GT-S engine, outstanding steering/braking/handling.

i think that the celica is an ok car. Except it is really light, so be careful. It hydroplanes in water VERY easily. I was in an accident because of this very reason. I like my car, if only they made it safer. I thought it was the tires at first until i got new ones. Just be careful.

Toyota makes a great any type of a car. The car is fun to drive. It will last 200,000 miles no problem. I have a 96 Celica it is a work horse. The only problem that it burns oil, it has 145,000 miles on it & my Toyota mechanic says it will keep going and going. Guess thats why they made the newer Celicas 6 speeds because of high engine rev ups.

  • Fantastic car - 2003 Toyota Celica

It surprised me how well Celicas retained their value, then I drove one! Id been eyeballing them for a couple months and when I finally had enough cash to buy it outright, I didnt hesitate to scoop one up. I disagree with the sports car classification but it is quick. Having owned a junky 97 Sebring and still owning a 70 El Camino, both problematic, its great to have a car where I only need to do routine maintenance and it runs like a top. My Celica has almost 94,000 miles on it and I can probably get another 100,000 out of it before it starts to really fall apart!

  • Its a great car for its class - 2003 Toyota Celica

I absolutely love my car. Its an absolutely great car for the price (I could not find a better one in its class). Toyota did cheap out on a few things like some materials they use (like for seats) is really shoddy. But, its cause they managed to make this car perform better than its predecessor while making the price cheaper. The car handles like a dream even for a FWD. Its not the fastest in its class but its an absolute ball to drive. So far its been reliable but Ive only had it for a year so take that as you will. It does have some buzzes rattles and the seats have wear out parts but it seems so far the stuff that matters like engine is solid.

  • Ugh - 2003 Toyota Celica

I bought this car new. I have never been in an accident, but the cars been in the shop 4 months out of the 4 years Ive had it anyway. The throttle body assembly went, both of the O2 sensors went, the AC went, my sunroof was fixed for leaking, both windows fixed for leaking, left window motor replaced, and the front hoods paint job is messed up/chipping despite my constant attention to it. I get an oil change every 3,000 miles, no exceptions and suggested services as necessary (tune-ups, fluid flushes, etc). Its only got 57,000 miles on it. Guess I got a bad one.

  • I wanted a 1998 TT Supra but no luck - 2003 Toyota Celica

I like my car just that i think a supra is the way to go. Especially since they are coming out in 2004 i am going to be first in line to get one .. Man I cant wait to buy one.

  • Looks fast, Drives slow - 2003 Toyota Celica
    By -

This car is really pathetic when it comes to 0-60 speed. It is so slow off the line if feels like you might be in reverse. A 4 cyl just doesnt cut it and while it does pick up after you hit 15mph or so, it is embarrasing because the 96 Geo Metro that was next to you at the light is already down the street hanging a left. Throw a V-6 in this and another 50 horsepower and Toyota might be on to something. For now, save your money for a 300ZX or the new Mazada RX-8 and get a real car.

  • Cool.... - 2003 Toyota Celica

I initially fell in love with this car for its looks. And now that I have driven it, the love has just increased. The beauty isnt just skin deep :) I love the way this car handles and especially corners. The sound of the screaming engine when the car redlines at abt 8300 is also very pleasing. The best part is that you snugly fit into your seet and it feels like the car is growing out of you and is a part of you. Everyting is within easy reach. However, I the sunroof is already squeaking, the exterior door handles buzz with the bass from the music system and something is rattling near the muffler. I am a little disappointed at the famed Toyota build quality.
