This Year's Model Updates:

Toyota's perennially best-selling family sedan gets a complete makeover for 2007. Among the highlights are a roomier interior, additional luxury-oriented features, an available 268-hp V6 coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission, and a gasoline-electric hybrid model that earns EPA fuel economy estimates of 43 mpg city/37 mpg highway.

Pros:
  • Roomy cabin, powerful V6 engine, hybrid model available, legendary build quality and reliability history.
Cons:
  • No manual transmission available with V6, some odd styling elements.

Once broken in mileage is steady at 29-32 mpg. Cannot find anything that would prevent me from purchasing another as my next vehicle.

I just picked up my 07 LE-V6 so I cant comment on the total overall package. I do love the look and the dual exhaust and obviously the engine. I will post a more detailed review in a few months. I can be picky so read here in a few.

  • good looking camry with poor reliability - 2007 Toyota Camry

The performance of a V6 is awesome. Handling is great. The windshield wiper design with the water spray is horrible. The water spray is blocked by the wiper on the left side when it comes out initially. The interior looks good but feels cheap compared to my 1997 LE camry. The transmission is the worst ever for camry. It downshift to much causing engine flare and I had problem with the reverse gear, but the up gear shift is great and smooth. Too bad it is not close to perfect.

  • Not your old Toyota - 2007 Toyota Camry

Even though I bought this Camry used it was very low mileage and should have been as good as new. First it made strange downshift noise, which turns out to be a known problem and the dealer fixed it under warranty. Then there is occasional hesitation on accel as some others have pointed out, which actually have now disappeared after the recall repair. I have a 02 Sienna now 120K and drives like new, and when I crashed my beloved Highlander at 90K it also drives like new. I think with all the electronic tinkering and so called high-tech, the new cars are actually less reliable than the old. This is true for Honda, Nissan, and German cars also.

I got this 32 MPG/Highway vehicle for $200 under invoice. I really cant complain about this vehicle. My car did, however, have a small rip in the rear leather armrest. Toyota took care of the rip, but you can still notice the patched up area if you look at it carefully. I definitely reccoment using Edumunds to buy your next vehicle. It will save you a lot of time and will get you a good deal.

I sell cars for a living and have for the last 40 years. In the 80s it was all honda, nothing else measured up. Now I sell Toyotas. I never purchase new because of the depreciation. I am purchasing a used 2007 Toyota Camry, one owner with 149000 miles on it. The car is brand new inside and out and themileage doesnt bother me at all. It has been checked out by a master Toyota Technician and I am not scared at all because of the miles. People who look at a car and back off of it because of mileage are missing the boat when it comes to a good deal on a valuable piece of merchandise. Toyota is the Manufacturer of the last decade with fit and finish and value. Don,t be afraid to buy one.

  • definitely a lemon! - 2007 Toyota Camry

Bought the car brand new, took good care of it, maintenance @ the delear ets.., thought I was getting the best value for my money, not so! after 5 years & 54k miles, the gages on my 2007 camry go haywire after I turn on the A/C and/or the radio , the ABS light, the hand break light comes on, also the RPM needle moves erratically, even the dealer cannot dignose the problem, never again will I buy another Toyota car.

  • Best sports car on the road! - 2007 Toyota Camry

My last car was an F150 which I owned for eight years, 195,000 miles! I chose the Camry because of Toyotas reputation for building a car that is reliable and lasts. My friends say my car is just like a Lexus and I have to agree, very comfortable and beautiful. The wood detail is different from other luxury cars because of the light color. And when I need to move out the six engine is fast and furious! I am enjoying my car and highly recommend it to friends and family.

We were disappointed that it didnt have keyless entry but other than that it is a very good car. Car seats fit pretty well in it also. I dont see the point of the text display option because it hasnt worked for any of our CDs or even with an auxiliary iPod.

  • Good and Bad - 2007 Toyota Camry

The ride is nice and the power on level ground is good. Fit and finish is really good on this car. The bad though: the 5 speed automatic hunts when driving up and down mountains. Its VERY bothersome when the transmission down shifts the second one brakes when going down a mountain. The speed control as well is balky in that the slightest uphill grade causes the transmission to down shift.
