This Year's Model Updates:

Toyota's perennially best-selling family sedan gets a complete makeover for 2007. Among the highlights are a roomier interior, additional luxury-oriented features, an available 268-hp V6 coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission, and a gasoline-electric hybrid model that earns EPA fuel economy estimates of 43 mpg city/37 mpg highway.

Pros:
  • Roomy cabin, powerful V6 engine, hybrid model available, legendary build quality and reliability history.
Cons:
  • No manual transmission available with V6, some odd styling elements.

  • So Far, So Good! - 2007 Toyota Camry

I bought a Toyota Certified 2007 Camry LE in 2010. I wanted economy in a more roomy package, and reliability. I took advantage of the controversy with all the recalls that year and got my car for a couple thousand less than it would have otherwise sold for without it. I also bought the extended warranty for peace of mind, and I get the oil changed and general service every 5K. So far, the car has been a champ. It may be a bit on the "vanilla" side from a performance and styling standpoint, but its lived up to the Toyota reputation for quality. The only problem Ive encountered are occasional hiccups with the Bluetooth, but not frequent enough to require service.

  • 210,000 and still driving! - 2007 Toyota Camry

Car is my office. 5,000 miles per month and 5,000 minutes on the bluetooth(echo/response needs improve). Drive in upper midwest and wish it had AWD. Not good in wet or snow. Tires-on third set. Got 75000 from factory Michelins and 100,000 from replacement Michelins(rotated every 5,000) Memory seats would be nice. Visibility is an issue that took some getting use to. No transmission problems. Love everything about Ricky but the snow and rain handling. Next car will be AWD, probably 2010 Subaru Lecacy 4 door sedan.

  • Have problems - 2007 Toyota Camry

Have to replace front axle (good thing it was under warranty - still under 60,000 miles), now I found all 4 strut was leaking, dealer ask more than $1,400 to replace (out of warranty - over 36,000 miles). before I never believe that Toyota has quality issue but since I have this Camry and more problems found, I believe what people said about quality of Toyota is going down.

  • Overall very happy - 2007 Toyota Camry

Ive been very pleased. The ride is smooth and quiet and the acceleration is better than I expected. I havent experienced any "pausing" as in other posts but have had some creaking from the dash during the cold weather (I thought it might have been my imagination until reading here). After 10,000 miles I still enjoy going for a ride! Mileage a little disappointing. 26 mpg (75% highway). On recent all highway trip got all the way up to 28!

Love my Camry, it is fun to drive and big on the road, a big improvement from my altima. The desert sand is an awesome color.

  • Why Buy a Lexus? - 2007 Toyota Camry

When you can own this snappy automobile. We shopped for an Avalon, saw this 2007 Camry version, and jumped at it. It looks good, feels good, and has enough bells and whistles to keep you occupied for several hours perusing the owners manual. Havent a good reading on mileage yet, since just zipping around town for now. This car is powerful, responsive, and an attention-getter.

  • Thumping Transmission Worrisome - 2007 Toyota Camry
    By -

We have about 30000 miles on this car. It gets great gas mileage (around 24 city and 31 hwy). The seats are a bit short under the thigh and the ergonomics dont fit the average American as best they could. The car has become rather sloppy in the corners with pronounced body roll, taking several notches off the fun to drive category. It is a shame too, since that engine is smooth and provides fantastic power for a car this size. Biggest drawback...when accelerating we sometimes get a hard thump. Two Toyota dealers say that is a problem with the drive by wire system...and there is not anything they can or will do. Not sure this car is going to make it 10 years. Trading it in on a Honda.

  • How do they cram how that "CAM"? - 2007 Toyota Camry

The ONLY thing they need to know is after buying a Camry will be buying the next MODEL!

  • herky jerky car - 2007 Toyota Camry

Performance stinks due to transmission, always looking for another gear, constantly jerking, dash lights always dimming, lower grill always slipping out. Just an awful vehicle, goodbye Toyota hello American...

  • Not as good as the older Toyotas - 2007 Toyota Camry
    By -

I own a Toyota truck for 19 years with virtually no problems. I have owned my new Camry for about a month and have had numerous problems. 1) Vibration in the steel wheel above 70 MPH. 2) Clicking noise from the rear suspension . 3) Center console squeaks. 4) Dashboard squeaks. 5) Passenger seat back rattles and vibrates excessively 6) Air conditioning vents poorly match the surrounding dashboard. 7) Driver side door had a scratch at delivery. 8) Transmission hunts for gears 9)Driver side head liner molding buzzes. 10) Steering wheel is not centered when driving straight. 11)Transmission unexpectly deaccelates during a slow down (as if it dropping into a lower gear).
