Overview & Reviews
Toyota's perennially best-selling family sedan gets a complete makeover for 2007. Among the highlights are a roomier interior, additional luxury-oriented features, an available 268-hp V6 coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission, and a gasoline-electric hybrid model that earns EPA fuel economy estimates of 43 mpg city/37 mpg highway.
- Roomy cabin, powerful V6 engine, hybrid model available, legendary build quality and reliability history.
- No manual transmission available with V6, some odd styling elements.

Camry Woes - 2007 Toyota Camry
By Taffy - January 17 - 6:10 am1) Idles too fast - will move down road at 5-6 miles per hour w/o touching gas - very dangerous at stop signs as it will surge forward. 2) Cruise will not hold on hill - set at 65, up to 75 at bottom of hill. 3) Brakes - when brake applied, car surges/jogs forward before taking hold. 4)Poor gas milage 14 to 19 in town; 29 on highway. 5) Poor craftsmanship on interior. Carpets not down right, cap cover for seat track comes off. 6) Shifts hard/jerky 7) Drivers side auto up/down window- cannot put down several inches - goes all the way down or all the way up 8) Upon resuming cruise, it will accelerate so fast you are thrown back in your seat-like being shot out of a gun.

2007 Camry SE V6 - 2007 Toyota Camry
By Bob - January 8 - 1:03 amI just bought this car last week and have fallen in love with it. Loaded this puppy up with every feature and have been very happy. Drives much better than the other Camrys as the suspension is more taut. 17" wheels are very nice looking and the navigation system works like a charm. Just rid of my 2002 BMW for this car. Toyota makes a much better car and the sporty characteristics of this one make the drive just as good. Gas mileage is also amazing for a car with 270 HP!!!

My first Toyota - 2007 Toyota Camry
By Smooth Riding - January 6 - 11:30 amMy first experience with a Toyota. Purchased the Toyota Camry 3 mos. ago. Found the acceleration was excellent. Very comfortable driving. Appears to have good mileage. So far am pleased with the overall performance of this vehicle. Like the looks and styling, both interior and exterior.

Poor engine/transmission performance - 2007 Toyota Camry
By digitdr1 - January 1 - 9:40 pmThis car is fine in many respects, but suffers from 1-2 sec. hesitation when applying power while the car is already in motion (from very low speeds to moderate speeds of about 35 mph). Also does not downshift (to allow more engine RPMs and therefore more power) on moderate hills when the gas pedal is pressed. The combination of the weak engine (low torque) at low engine speeds and the transmission hesitation is so bad that the car is, in my opinion, a safety hazard.

2007 (2.4) Camry - An expensive mistake - 2007 Toyota Camry
By PADRIVER - December 29 - 10:56 amIve owned Camrys before but this 2007 (2.4 L) is the worst. It is totally underpowered. It constantly hesitates, looking for the proper gear, when you punch it. It is dangerous. Total lack of frontal visability. Grossly angled windshield with large front roof supports make looking forward like looking into a tunnel. Large rear view mirror blocks off even more of frontal visability. Good luck with curbs when you turn right! Dash rattles. Gas mileage is disappointing, 21 in town. My 3.8 Town&Country got 19! Ride is bad. No head room. This was an expensive mistake. I will dump it next year for sure and eat the loss.

Perfect Sedan - 2007 Toyota Camry
By strthusler - December 21 - 3:16 amFor those who complain about the power get a V6, for an I4 this car is as powerful as they come. I love everything about this car, I drove to Phx, AZ over the weekend and I had a wonderful time driving the car on the open hwy. As for the hesitation, I didnt encounter any. So far my experience has been wonderful!! Best "VALUE" car Ive ever bought.

Poor Quality/Workmanship - 2007 Toyota Camry
By Silas DuBard - December 11 - 4:46 amAfter purchase and arriving home, some- one noticed a body brace hanging down. Then I began to notice how flimsy the doors, bumpers, etc. are. Then I began to compare how well doors, trunks, etc fit compared to other makes of autos. About 2 years ago I noticed how paint chips off without noticeable reason. In fact, immediately after purchase and close examination, I noticed chips on the hood and front. Ordered some touch up paint from dealer which didnt work and you would have thought I was buying caviar. Taking your car back to the dealer is too costly, unreal. I recently went in because car would vibrate when braking. Well, this cost over 550 dollars. And I doubt it.

Still love it even with more problems - 2007 Toyota Camry
By ToolTom - December 11 - 1:03 amI already wrote a review four months ago, but I need to add to it. They have finally fixed my transmission. I am very happy with it now. However, more problems have developed. There are still rattles in the dash and now the roof now has a bad rattle. Also, the paint is chipping terribly all over the car. Well, at least the car shifts better now!

2007 Camry SE V6 - Excellent for us... - 2007 Toyota Camry
By metal - December 6 - 4:43 pmWe have about 2200 miles on our SE V6 and we really love this car. It is a very comfortable car that gives us options that we never had on previous vehicles. I highly recommend the V6...it is a very nice engine and so far we have enjoyed every aspect of our car. The rear seat leg room is quite large, moonroof is great, and the handling of the SE is much better than I ever expected from a Camry. My wife drives this car more than I, but I always want to go places when the car is available. We test drove other cars such as the 2005/2006 Accords, 2005/2006 Altimas, 2005 Jetta, and 2005 Camry and found the 2007 Camry to have everything we wanted.
