This Year's Model Updates:

Toyota's perennially best-selling family sedan gets a complete makeover for 2007. Among the highlights are a roomier interior, additional luxury-oriented features, an available 268-hp V6 coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission, and a gasoline-electric hybrid model that earns EPA fuel economy estimates of 43 mpg city/37 mpg highway.

Pros:
  • Roomy cabin, powerful V6 engine, hybrid model available, legendary build quality and reliability history.
Cons:
  • No manual transmission available with V6, some odd styling elements.

  • 6 months later looking to ditch my XLE - 2007 Toyota Camry

I rated this car pretty high when I first bought it. 6 months and 7K mi later, and the tranny has been replaced, the dash rattled all winter, and the starter makes weird noises when its cold. BUILD QUALITY IS TERRIBLE. Im so disappointed that I may take the hit and just ditch this for something I feel good about driving that doesnt rattle like a 10 year old piece of junk. Im just amazed that these issues havent gotten more widespread notice. DO NOT BUY an 07 Camry new or used, unless you enjoy visiting the dealer often.

  • Once you drive it youll buy it - 2007 Toyota Camry

Its a quiet ride inside and handles very well. It has some get up and go when you need it. I traded in my Corolla for it and Im so glad I did it. Excellent purchase.

  • Great car for your money - 2007 Toyota Camry

I am very happy that I went with new 2007 Camry. I just got it couple of days before, so I cant tell you for sure the quality of assembly yet, but performance and interior design are well above the average car. Interior little bit less than expected from Toyota, but still its done with great deal of ergonomy, everything very handy, and you will not get tired from it. Great gas mileage. Performance of 2.4 liter engine was much better than I expected. Lots and lots of fun.

  • 4th Camry and LAST! - 2007 Toyota Camry

I have had 3 other Camrys all were great, the 07s and up are junk..... I had a 05 Camry and I loved it, wish I never traded it in. This 07 Camry has been nothing but problems. I went to a car wash and the cheep paint came off the bumper, the trans has had problems, shifts weird, I have has 4 radios, and the power seat is broken. The dealership was no help at all, I had the car for 8 months with only 65k on it, traded it in for a 09 Honda Accord EXL V6 and Love it, I will NEVER buy a Toyota again!!!

This is our first toyota. Everyone we have spoken with stated we made the best choice. Take a look at used car lots, why do you wonder? you see very few used toyota on used car lots. People buy them and run them for 300,000 and 400,000 happy miles.

this the 4th toyota i have owned and probably the last. i drive 90% highway miles (hint zero to none use of brakes) and had to replace the rotors and pads at 14,000 miles. Door rattles, 4cyl lacks power for the hills of PA worst when AC is on, but my biggest peeve is when descending down hills at almost any speed the car down shifts into 4th gear and then into 3rd which sends the rpm so high that the pistons could shoot through the hood, not good at all for the motor. i know what Toyota would say that it is to help in braking but id rather replace brakes than a motor. will i buy a Toyota again? not likely?

  • Decent Car - 2007 Toyota Camry

My last cars were a 2000 sonata which i sold with 100k, then i had a mazda 6 for a few year. I brought this as my wife`s and our kid baby carrier. I was aware of the hesitation and did test drive 2. One had it and i picked the other. I have 40k and need tires. My wife drives very smooth. We took it on a 2000 mile trip and got like 38 mpg. Compared to my 5 speed Jetta it lacks in finish, performance and handling but its a different beast.I looked for post June build date in 07 where all the problems suddenly disappeared per all research i did.

  • Had to part ways w/ my Camry - 2007 Toyota Camry

This was my 2nd camry. After owning an 03 with no problems I expected a great car. Boy was I wrong. The transmission is the absolute WORST, it is very dangerous and can cause an accident. I took it back to the dealer to fix which they did but after a couple of months it was back to being very slugglish. My power windows stopped working, radio had to be replaced, rattles, rattles and more rattles. The plastic interior looks and feels cheap. I have since gotten rid of this car and upgraded to an 08 Infiniti G35 (wont buy another Toyota anytime soon). I dont miss this car at all!

  • Not completely satisfied - 2007 Toyota Camry

Driven my new Camry less than 1,000 miles and not as pleased with it as my 00 Camry. Cruise control gains, RPMs accelerate up hill causing engine to make loud noise while using cruise control, higher in back making it harder to judge while backing up and transmission not completely smooth in take offs. Overall, I still like the car and love Toyotas reliability, so Im banking on this one to hold up to their reputation.
