Overview & Reviews
The XL-7 receives minor updates to the exterior and equipment list. The Touring and Limited models have been renamed EX III and LX III. The front grille and bumper have been reworked, and the foglights, taillights and headlights all have a new look. The front-passenger airbags are now multistage, and there's a new panic button on the keyless remote. Lastly, the V6 engine gets two additional horsepower for a total of 185, and the automatic transmission is now a five-speed unit.
- Affordable base price, competent on- and off-road handling, available seven-passenger seating.
- Cramped second- and third-row seating, dated cabin design, low-grade interior plastics, side airbags not available.

Most for my money - 2004 Suzuki XL-7
By Chad Underly - January 11 - 2:00 amI have not had to take my Suzuiki back to the dealer since the day I drove it off the lot. I love the v-6 engine and the ample cargo space. My only regret is not paying a little more for the optional 3rd row seat and rear a/c...the trucks standard a/c can barely keep up on hot summer days.

best suv for the money - 2004 Suzuki XL-7
By Charlibear63 - December 31 - 10:00 amWe owned a 2003 lxiii 2 wheel drive and traded for the 04 4 wd and the difference is noticable. Seems to have better handling and the ABS brakes are a plus. Great interior and better fuel economy thanks to the new 5 speed automatic. keep up the good work Suzuki;-)

8 years and 38K miles later - XL-7 still runs great! - 2004 Suzuki XL-7
By ihot - September 17 - 7:23 amIts June 2012, 8 years and 38K miles after we purchased our XL-7, and it still runs great! It handles well and rides fairly comfortably, although the gas mileage could be better. Blind spots where the backseat headrests and the spare tire cover are can cause problems at times.

Great Compact SUV with a third seat - 2004 Suzuki XL-7
By Ahme - August 2 - 3:26 amThis is a great SUV if you need room for 5. It has a very competitive price for a small budget. It is a strong compact SUV on a truck base. It has many built in features at no additional cost (anti-lock brakes, CD player with in steering wheel remote, climate control A/C).

Great Value - 2004 Suzuki XL-7
By blum1 - July 24 - 2:00 amI was all set to purchase a Honda Pilot when a friend recommened I take a look at the 2004 Suzuki XL-7 EXIII. I took one out for a test drive could not believe the ride, handling, and good gas mileage. The dealership was very friendly and offered that I take it home for the night to see if I enjoyed the SUV. All around was one of the best experiences I ever had purchasing a new car. And the plus was I got to save over $6,000.

Awesome! - 2004 Suzuki XL-7
By dpeter - April 13 - 10:00 amWow, with 4 children was looking for a smaller SUV that would hold seven. Not many choices on the market. Looked at the Escape and CRV. Dollar for dollar, glad I choose the XL-7 w/ the trird row seat. I love it as well as the kids. Am commented by others how great it looks. Love the drive as well as the mpg. No regrets and highly recomend.
